Sam Flint

Samuel A. "Sam" Ethridge Flint (Contea di Gwinnett, 19 ottobre 1882 – Woodland Hills, 17 ottobre 1980) è stato un attore statunitense.

È apparso in quasi 300 film dal 1933 al 1968 ed ha recitato in più di 60 produzioni per la televisione dal 1951 al 1967.^[1]

Biografia

Sam Flint nacque nella contea di Gwinnett, in Georgia, il 19 ottobre 1882. Iniziò a lavorare come attore in teatro.^[2] Debuttò al cinema agli inizi degli anni trenta e in televisione agli inizi anni 50. Il grande schermo lo vide interprete di moltissimi personaggi di supporto. Spesso interpretava personaggi autorevoli come medici, uomini d'affari o banchieri.^[2] Per il teleschermo vanta una lunga serie di partecipazioni a serie televisive. Interpretò tra gli altri, Jewitt in 27 episodi della serie Le leggendarie imprese di Wyatt Earp dal 1955 al 1956 (più altri episodi con altri ruoli) e Mr. Armstead in cinque episodi della serie Papà ha ragione (Father Knows Best) dal 1956 al 1959.

Continuò la sua carriera per gli schermi televisivi impersonando una miriade di ruoli minori e inanellando una serie di apparizioni da guest star in decine di episodi di serie televisive, dall'epoca d'oro della televisione statunitense fino agli anni 60. Recitò anche in ruoli diversi in più di un episodio, come in quattro episodi di Four Star Playhouse, otto episodi di Annie Oakley, quattro episodi di Cheyenne e quattro episodi di Perry Mason.^[3] La sua carriera televisiva terminò con l'episodio Death Has Two Faces della serie Iron Horse trasmesso nel 1967 mentre, secondo Imdb, l'ultimo ruolo che interpretò per il cinema fu quello non accreditato nel film del 1968 Sogni perduti.^[3] Morì a Woodland Hills, in California, il 17 ottobre 1980.^[4]
