Export application/octet-stream field from sql server to blob container

Question

Hi,

I have a table in sql server with the below fields.

ActivityId, DocumentBody(images/documents), filename, MimeType(application/octet-stream)

I need to read this table and export to the blob container as an image/document depending on the filetype.

I am happy with ADF or Fabric Pipelines or any method.

Is that an SQL Server database on-prem, or is it a database in Azure? If the latter, what service? Azure VM, Azure SQL Database or Azure Managed Instance?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. It is synapse serverless sql pool.

Or I can copy to on-prem sql server database

Sounds like Azure Data Factory is a fit then. I hope that someone with expertise in that field sees this thread and can assist you. Myself, I don't know ADF. I only saw your question because you had labelled it SQL Server Database Engine, which I changed because it was not the best fit.
