Casey Jacox’s Post

Rest in Peace, Stella (one on the left). What Sales Leaders Can Learn from a Dog’s Forgiving (and Curious) Nature 🐶💭 Ever notice how dogs get over literally everything in about 30 seconds? 🐾 Step on their tail? Forgiven. 🐾 Leave them home all day? Forgiven. 🐾 Forget to share your snack? (Okay… maybe mostly forgiven.) 😅 Meanwhile, some leaders hang onto frustration for months. But, why? But what if we led more like dogs? 🐾 Forgive fast. Deals die. Quotas slip. Mistakes happen. Holding onto it weighs you down—and drags the team with you. 🐾 Stay curious. Dogs approach everything with curiosity. Who's at the door? 🧐 What's that smell? 👃 What’s next? 🔎 Leaders who stay curious ask better questions, uncover new opportunities, and never stop learning. 🐾 Return to joy. Dogs don’t stew over yesterday’s mess—they’re already chasing the next tennis ball. Reset the vibe. Your team will follow. 🐾 Loyalty always. The best teams know you’re in their corner, through the wins and the wipeouts. The truth is, your team notices how you show up when things go sideways. Lead like a golden retriever: forgiving, curious, and impossible to discourage. 🐕✨ Because honestly... who wouldn’t follow that? Casey, I'm so sorry for your loss! Losing a beloved pet is so difficult to process because they are always there for us and are just a part of our every day existence, until they aren't. :( I love your analogy though because at the end of the day, dogs do teach us loyalty, curiosity, and forgiveness. We don't deserve them!

Casey, I am so so sorry. Sending you and your family lots of love & prayers! I'm sure Stella is getting all the belly rubs and treats in puppy heaven <3 I'm not sure if you've ever read Jon Gordon's "The Positive Dog", but I presented on it to the Tier4 Group team a few years back. That book has had such a profound impact on how I treat each day. If you get the chance you should definitely check it out!

Aww rest in peace Stella and thoughts to the Jacox fam! Even though my dog is still fast, he does slow down to get his sniffs in on our walks which I sometimes rush through. Good reminder overall to slow down for our teams and let them sniff!!! (🤷🏻♀️)

Great points here and the streak continues!...., as we are all in sales to some capacity regardless of title.... great reminder for me to be channeling my inner Miss Winnie with her infectious lovable attitude.

Casey Jacox- Sorry for your loss, I feel your pain- we lost one of cats last week that was killed by a coyote. Love the dog analogy. I know you are a big ted lasso fan- he says something similar with goldfish! Keep up the friday videos!
