== Biografia ==

Il nome della località si riferisce a depressioni o cavità del suolo (Tollos) ed è di origine [[Lingua mozarabica|mozarabica]], poiché durante la [[Reconquista|conquista cristiana]] menziona un Hisn Tulu ("Castello di Tollos") che faceva parte dei domini di Al-Azraq ([[1245]]). Anni dopo appare come Toyllo e, già nel [[XV secolo]], come Tollo.

I Gazette si formano nel [[marzo]] del [[2002]] e nell'[[aprile]] dello stesso anno pubblicano il loro primo [[singolo]], ''Wakaremichi''. Nel [[2003]] il [[batterista]] [[Yune]] viene sostituito da [[Kai]] e nello stesso anno il gruppo firma un contratto con la casa discografica [[PS COMPANY]]: da lì in poi il gruppo si esibirà in continui concerti, e la sua fama tenderà a salire senza soste. Nel [[settembre]] [[2004]] esce il loro primo [[album discografico|album]], ''[[Disorder (the GazettE)|Disorder]]'', e agli inizi del [[2006]], quando sono già un gruppo molto popolare in [[Giappone]], esce il loro secondo album, ''[[Nil (album)|NIL]]''. Divenuti degli "Idol", nel [[2010]] i Gazette riprendono instancabili le registrazioni di due nuovi singoli: ''Before I Decay'' e ''Shiver'', di cui quest'ultimo diventa l'[[opening]] della seconda stagione di "[[Kuroshitsuji]]", [[anime]] giapponese di notevole successo tra le folle di fan del gruppo.

Tollos si trova a 25 km a nord-est di [[Alcoy (Spagna)|Alcoy]]. Confina con i comuni di [[Benimassot]], [[Castell de Castells]], [[Facheca]], [[Famorca]], [[La Vall d'Alcalà]] e [[Vall de Ebo]].

I The GazettE differiscono molto riguardo al loro stile, in quanto, essendo una band appartenente al filone [[Visual kei]], e quindi soprattutto alla [[Rock|musica Rock]], in varie canzoni si possono trovare elementi appartenenti all'[[Heavy metal]], come in "''Ogre''", e all'[[Alternative metal]], come in "''Taion''" e "''The Invisible Wall''". In altre canzoni invece, come "''Swallowtail on the Death Valley''" e "''Silly God Disco''", uniscono il [[Funk rock]] e l'utilizzo di accordi [[Jazz]] con quello dei [[Coro (musica)|cori]]. In altre canzoni, come "''[[Leech (canzone)|Leech]]''" e "''Hyena''", è presente un sound appartenente all'[[Hard rock]]. Spesso la band utilizza anche dei suoni [[R&B]] con la [[chitarra acustica]], dei cori e con il [[Basso elettrico|basso]], suoni [[Techno]], voci armoniose (sempre appartenenti al coro) e un ripetuto [[Headbanging]] nel mezzo, tutto questo in una sola volta. Le canzoni "''Maggots''", "''Discharge''" e "''Headache Man''" invece sostano su un ritmo musicale più pesante e violento, in particolare sul [[Metalcore]]. The Gazette accomplished a one man tour through all of October called "[[From the Distorted City]]", referencing to the song "[[Distorted Daytime]]" in their single "[[Leech]]". It portrays Tokyo as a Distorted City, in terms of the society and political crisis sweeping over Japan in current days. "[[From the Distorted City]]" illustrates 'A Message from the Distorted City of Tokyo'.

On [[November 15]], [[2008]], The Gazette hosted their first Secret Live in [[Shinjuku]] Station. Originally, around 250 people were to be anticipated, but instead, over 7000 came to the live, the most in history. On January 3, 2009, The Gazette performed alongside their fellow bands signed to the PS Company label to celebrate the record label's 10th anniversary, where they announced they will release a new single called "[[Distress and Coma]]" on March 25, 2009.

In addition to their new single, the band have announced that they will be releasing a new album ''Dim'' on July 15.

On [[March 10]], [[2009]], they celebrate their 7th birthday in [[Makuhari Messe |Makuhari Messe International Convention Complex 9.10 Hall]] after they held off playing their first one-man show of the year.

===Orografia===

Il comune di Tollos si trova nella valle del fiume Seta, sul versante meridionale della [[Sierra Alfaro]]. Il rilievo è formato da una valle che sorge a SO-NE, aperta tra le ultime pendici della catena montuosa dell'Almudaina a nord (945 [[Metro|metri]] sopra il livello di Solana) e la catena montuosa dell'Alfaro a sud (1166 [[Livello del mare|m s.l.m.]] nella sua vetta più alta).

La parte occidentale della valle è più ampia, mentre la parte orientale si restringe fino a creare una gola che forma il [[Burrone di Malafí]], la cui direzione nord-est fa fluire nel [[fiume Gorgos]] dopo aver dato origine ai canyon l'Infern, e in [[Vall de Ebo]].
