Inizia una breve rivalità con [[Tevita Fifita|Camacho]], con tutti match vinti dal colosso Langston. A fine match, [[Paul Heyman]] sbeffeggia Langston mentre [[Curtis Axel]] e [[Ryback]] cercano di aggredire Punk, ma Big E si schiera dalla parte di quest'ultimo, salvandolo ed effettuando un [[Turn (wrestling)|Turn]] [[Face]]. Nella puntata di [[WWE Raw|Raw]] del 21 ottobre, sconfigge in coppia con [[CM Punk]] gli uomini di Paul Heyman, Curtis Axel e Ryback. Più tardi in serata, viene annunciato che Big E affronterà Curtis Axel il 27 ottobre nel KickOff di [[WWE Hell in a Cell 2013|Hell in a Cell]] con in palio l'[[WWE Intercontinental Championship|Intercontinental Championship]].
