Development started in 2003 as playout automation system for a local FM radio station. Short history and key points in time showing how the project was started and reached its current state:

* version 1.0 (2003) - First public release. Not very successful; most of the original development team members decided to leave the project.

* RadioBOSS 2.1 (2005) - NameSoftware name changed to RadioBOSS. Released version 2.1, the first version to earn user interest.

* RadioBOSS 2.8 (2007) - Targeting Internet radios. Added streamingfeatures supportuseful (Icecastfor andInternet Shoutcastradio servers) and other major improvementsstations.

* RadioBOSS 3.0 (2008) - Added network stream relaying, audio file tag read and write support for all supported formats, translation to 14 languages.

* RadioBOSS 4.0 (2009) - Software divided into editions (Express, Standard, Advanced), redesigned user interface, new major features added.
