Queens of the Stone Age have always been and will continue to be stoner rock. It is very clear that this album is a stoner rock album and the genre is very well shown during the album. So why whenever I add the genre "stoner rock" it is reverted? I have listened to Queens for ages, and I definitely know this. :In the past, people have edit warred over the genre, so any unexplained changes are automatically reverted when they are noticed, even by those who agree. It's taken as opinion, rather than fact. You may want to post at the Queens of the Stone Age WikiProject to gain support for this edit. (See their banner at the top of this page.) There will likely be opposition. Some may think alternative rock is a better general description, and only want to list one genre. I know there was some discussion about stoner rock in the past, (check the article history,) and arguments that this album had none. What will help the most is to find reliable sources that explicitly name the genre, but short of that, consensus could possibly be found, if there is enough involvement. —PC-XT+ 17:38, 23 June 2014 (UTC)
