As it is, I don't think it will ever become a very useful article because it merely contains short, jargon-rich and context-poor descriptions of members of a very heterogeneous class of stars. Each individual type of irregular variable deserves a decent article of its own, but having an article like this just seems confusing to me.

An '''irregular variable''' is a type of [[variable star]] in which variations in brightness show no regular [[Frequency|periodicity]]. There are two main sub-types of irregular variable: eruptive and pulsating.
