:I will take a stab at this in the near future. I want to leave the old chips in the table, even if the only sources now are grey-market ("New Old Stock"). You'll still run across these chips in various designs, where someone needs a feature added, a bug fixed, etc. so it's useful to have the reference for the old chips. ::The table has been updated, based on an Atmel AVR reference CD in my possession; I assume that every chip I listed can be verified on Atmel's web site easily. I probably am missing some of the newer chips, and will check the Atmel site against this list at some point in the future. uC's such as the ATtiny20 are not listed. Their instruction set has some features of Classic (ICALL, IJMP), but not ADIW and others. In short, a new category. Other than individual part datasheets, I don't know where this info comes from. Searching part by part, instruction by instruction seems highly error-prone. I would think Atmel would be interested in keeping this accurate and updated, as it is needed to develop with their parts...
