What's the rationale for this statement? These codes aren't mentioned at all in FIPS 5-2, but [http://www.bls.gov/nls/79quex/r19/y79r19attach102.pdf FIPS 5-1] says, "Note: The following codes are reserved for possible future use in identifying American Samoa (03), Canal Zone (07), Guam (14), Puerto Rico (43), and Virgin Islands (52)."--[[User:Ant|Ant]] ([[User talk:Ant|talk]]) 19:29, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

The linked county articles - or at least the ones I checked - include FIPS county codes. A person who found a FIPS state code in this article may then want a code for a county within that state.
