Default behaviour of two Cisco switches is not as described. Cisco web site documentation:- [http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst3560/software/release/12.2_25_see/command/reference/cli3.html#wp1948171] states that default setting is 'dynamic auto'.
