The [[gamelan]] orchestra, based on metallic [[percussion instrument|percussion]] with [[wind instrument|windsidiophone]]s and [[drum]]s, is perhaps the form which is most readily identified as being distinctly "Javanese" by outsiders. In various forms, it is ubiquitous to Southeast [[Asia]].
