In my opinion, it could be helpful for overall understanding to add a general illustration of a control loop in addition to the chemical plant (see [https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d2/Closed_Control_Loop.svg this] figure). If there are no objections from the community, I would add this illustration (including the naming of the variables) to the main article.
