Noll was born in the Australian town of Orange, New South Wales and grew up in the small town of [[Condobolin]] in central western [[New South Wales]]. He is the third and youngest of three children to parents Sharon and Neil Noll and along with brothers Damian and Adam, spent the entire of their childhood and teenage years living on the family farm which ran sheep and cattle and grew cereal crops. During his school years, Noll enjoyed drama classes and performed in a number of school productions. Noll has since expressed a desire to continue his acting work.

<!---
During his adult years, Noll began working on other farms and properties shearing sheep amongst other tasks. It was during this time Noll and his brothers formed the band called "Cypress" (named for the fact that they rehearsed in a timber mill), of which Shannon provided vocals and played guitar. The band played numerous small gigs toured around the [[Australia]]n outback, playing in country pubs gaining a solid live reputation. Although the majority of songs performed by the band were cover versions of popular songs, the group enjoyed writing original music and would often perform these originals as part of their set.

==Vital articles and Release Version==
Noll's father, Neil, was tragically killed during a farming accident in 2001, which led to Shannon and his brothers to take over the running of the family farm. Following the death and two years of extreme drought, the family sold the farm and settled in Condobolin with their mother. Shannon often cites the death of his father as a major inspiration in his musical career, and has penned a song on his latest album [[Lift (Shannon Noll album)|Lift]] titled "[[Now I Run]]" in memorium of his late father.
Hi, I debated about the articles in [[Wikipedia talk:Vital articles#Eurocentreism]]. How can we add the results in the Release Version.--<font face="monospace">[[User:Sa.vakilian|Sa.vakilian]]([[User talk:Sa.vakilian|t]]-[[Special:Contributions/Sa.vakilian|c]])</font> 15:16, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

== The BBC source ==
It was in Condobolin where Noll met his now wife, Rochelle Ogsten. The pair dated for 8 years before they wed in October 2005 and welcomed the arrival of sons Cody in 2001 and Blake in 2002, and daughter Sienna in 2006.

The BBC source which you have removed from the article was not a part of the conflict. It was removed by Dahn by mistake. See my talkpage for confirmation. --[[User:Anittas|Thus Spake Anittas]] 20:54, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

:I don't see anything by Dahn that says it was a mistake. The protection is for 24hours, it can be worked out then.[[User:Rlevse|Rlevse]] 20:58, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
::[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Anittas#Sorry He said the source was okay], but even if he didn't, could you please use some common sense? BBC is usually reliable, is it not? --[[User:Anittas|Thus Spake Anittas]] 20:59, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
::I am, you are in the middle of a bitter edit war and I'm forcing a time out hoping to get cooler heads to prevail, everyone needs to calm down. And your "could you please use some common sense" comment isn't going to score you any points. You have a long block history, hopefully you've learned something. If you prefer, I can unprotect the page and then block both of you from all editing.[[User:Rlevse|Rlevse]] 21:02, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
:::How long would the block last? --[[User:Anittas|Thus Spake Anittas]] 21:03, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
::Anonimu -- 1 week, Annittas -- one month due to multiple prior blocks and long history of this sort of editing. Take your pick, but note the page is only protected for 24 hours and it such edit wars reoccur you could get blocked indef again. [[User:Rlevse|Rlevse]] 21:07, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
:::I don't think that would be fair. For starters, it was he who removed my sources (vandalism) and committed the first 3RV; secondly, I was the one who asked the moderators to step in, but no one did; thirdly, my block history only contains one such incident, while his block history contains two such incidents -- altough I don't really see the relevancy in that. Anyway, I just wanted to say that both Dahn and he seems to accept the BBC source. If you check the Nicolae Ceausescu article, Anonimu accepted the source, but added his own version of "show trial," which I can also accept. I don't know why, but you moderators come to salvation at exactly the wrong time: when everything is solved, you show up. I'm not trying to be ungrateful, I just think it's funny. In my opinion, I should get 3 days and he should get 6 days, because he was also rude, making a sexual insultive remark by saying "[http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Elena_Ceau%C5%9Fescu&action=history let's get blown]." What he means is that I need to get laid. He often insults me this way in another forum and this time, he made this remark on Wiki -- and yet I don't complain about that. But okay, I can wait 24 hours and readd the BBC source, but I don't think you, or any other administrator, have -- or should have --, the authority to place indef blocks on anyone for a simple matter such as this one. --[[User:Anittas|Thus Spake Anittas]] 21:19, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
::It's fair based on your prior block history and follows wiki policy--you have 7 or so prior blocks and he two and you were indef blocked once for several months, all the way to Jimbo. If he and you have a long history of such conflicts, you may want to consider mediation or [[WP:ANI]].[[User:Rlevse|Rlevse]] 21:22, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
:::I think you're using the American rationale on this; as when one committs three crimes, they go to jail for some 30 years or so. I have read about a kid who stole a bike and got some 20 or 30 years in jail, because it was his third felony. I think this is madness, but what I think doesn't matter so much. Can you show me where this policy says that one can get indef block in a scenario like this one, or can you take actions as you wish?

:::As for my past block history, two of my blocks were reverted and Jimbo's block, as I had said earlier, was for something totally different; altough, I'm not sure that would make any difference in your book. --[[User:Anittas|Thus Spake Anittas]] 21:28, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
By 2003, Noll was in debt and out of work following the sale of his family farm due to extreme drought. It was his brothers who encouraged him to travel to Sydney and audition for the 2003 debut seasion of "[[Australian Idol]]". Noll impressed the judges [[Mark Holden]], [[Marcia Hines]] and [[Ian Dickson]] with his audition in which he performed the Southern Sons' classic "Hold Me In Your Arms". After his audition, [[Marcia Hines]] praised Shannon and told him that she had just discovered '' "a voice" '' and [[Ian Dickson]] informed Shannon that '' "...Australia will love you" ''

Why have you blocked me? I was not involved in war edits, and I have not broken the 3RR. [User:Afrika_paprika]] did many mass reverts, against my referencied edits. I've defended 4 articles against the vandalism of a notorius troll. That's my right: Afrika is a multi banned user. It was [[User:AjdemiPopushi]], a sockpuupet of him, to report me a a breaker of the 2RR. So I am clean and I did not "plus edit warring". :Ademji has now been id'd as a sock of afrika and indefinitely blocked, but this was not known and in the 3RR report filed. If I'd known that, the result would certainly have been different as there was definitely an edit war on the Ragusa article. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, but I went on what was known at the time and in the 3RR report.[[User:Rlevse|Rlevse]] 22:28, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
:: I was sure you was just doing your work. Please copy this message on my page. Not there is again the same problem, and the article should be sprotected. Thank you.--[[User:Giovanni Giove|Giovanni Giove]] 16:57, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

== Removing warnings from talk pages ==
Following his initial audition, Noll made his way into the Top 32 semi-final where he performed a rendition of Robbie Williams' hit "[[Better Man (Robbie Williams song)|Better Man]], which impressed the viewing audience enough to vote Noll in as part of the Top 12. Over the 8 weeks of performance shows, Noll found himself in the bottom 3 only once, following his performance of [[Bon Jovi's]] "[[Livin' On A Prayer]]" during The 80's theme night. Throughout the show, Noll impressed both the judges and audience with performances of songs as diverse as [[Powderfinger]]'s "Already Gone", to [[The Beatles]] "[[Hey Jude]]" to [[Jimmy Barnes]] "[[Working Class Man]]".

Have the rules changed on removing warnings from one's own talk page? According to [[WP:UP]], "On a user's own talk page, policy does not prohibit the removal of comments at that user's discretion, although archival is preferred to removal. Please note, though, that removing warnings from one's own talk page is often frowned upon."
During the 2003 ''Australian Idol'' series finals, Noll sang:

The way I read it, it is neither against policy nor considered vandalism for one to remove warnings from his own user talk page. It is merely ''frowned upon.'' Has this policy changed? If so, perhaps a change to the guideline page is in order. --[[User:Tjsynkral|Tjsynkral]] 23:14, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

Okay, thanks for the reply. {{User:Brain40/Sig.}}
In the weeks leading up to the Grand Final of Idol, Noll recorded his version of the winners single "[[Angels Brought Me Here]]" and filmed the music video for the song, which was to be released the week after the winner was announced. Promo copies of Noll's version of the song were released to radio stations in anticipation of his win, however Nolls' version of the song was subsequently never aired on radio and the music video was never released for television broadcast.

== Removal of warnings on user talk pages ==
In the week before the Grand Final, Noll and fellow finalist [[Guy Sebastian]] embarked on a whirlind Australia-wide promotional tour. Tens of thousands of fans turned out to show their support the pair, including an incredible 20,000 people in [[Adelaide]] and 15,000 in [[Melbourne]].
From what I've seen in discussions on the administrator's forums, the new, but apparently unwritten policy is that editors are allowed to remove warnings from their user talk pages if they want to. Removing a warning is considered acknowledgement by the editor in question that they have seen the warning. [[User:Cla68|Cla68]] 02:00, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
:So someone gets a valid vandism notice, removes it, gets reported to AIV and the admin checks to see if they have been warned and has to dig through history pages to find it? Ha, I'll stop fighting vandals if I have to do that.[[User:Rlevse|Rlevse]] 02:41, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
::I'm not saying that I necessarily agree with new "rule" or not, just letting you know what seems to be the situation now from what I've read on the admin pages. One of the reasons may be due to instances of editors harrassing other editors with warning banners and then arguing back and forth about whether the warning was justified or not. [[User:Cla68|Cla68]] 03:17, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

Noll made it to the Grand Final on [[November 19]], [[2003]] alongside eventual winner [[Guy Sebastian]]. During the Grand Final show, Noll performed an encore performance of "[[What About Me]]", which helped cement the popularity of his version of the song and lead it to being chosen to release as his debut single.

Hi, as a student of the Charter School of Wilmington, I appreciate your help in banning that vandal.

Noll signed a multi-album deal with Sony BMG shortly after the Grand Final of Australian Idol. It was announced in December 2004 that his debut single would be a cover of the [[Moving Pictures (band)|Moving Pictures]] hit "[[What About Me]]", the performance of which was one of Noll's standout performances during his time on Idol. Recording of the single took place during November/December 2004 at Studio 301 in [[Sydney]] and tracks were chosen and recorded for inclusion on Noll's debut album around the same time.

== Scouting / child abuse / censorship ==
[[Image:Shannon69.jpg|thumb|right|200px|Shannon Noll performing during the Australian Idol Live concert tour in February 2004]]

Just seen your note calling me a troll. This is uncalled for:
Shannon Noll's debut single "[[What About Me]]" was released on [[25 January]] [[2004]] and debuted at number one on the [[ARIA Charts|ARIA singles chart]] the following week with sales exceeding 125,000 copies in its first week. At the time, these sales were the third highest one-week sales for a single in Australian chart history. The single earned Noll a nomination for Highest Selling Single at the 2004 [[Australian Recording Industry Association|ARIA]] Awards. Over its chart run, "[[What About Me]]" sold in excess of 300,000 copies and was certified 4x Platinum in March 2004.

1) My (extremely cautious) raising of the controversial issue of child abuse on the scouting page is what brought about your comment. The subsequent discussion seems mature and thoughtful so far - by contrast your comment seems unfair and (just possibly) defensive.
Noll joined the other Australian Idol Top 12 finalists in January and February of 2004 on an arena tour which played to sold out crowds in every Australian capital city. It was during these concerts that Noll premiered his upcoming single "[[Drive (Shannon Noll song)|Drive]]".

2) What exactly did I do to deserve your abuse? Was it raising the issue in the first place? Providing a reference to what seems to be a major US news story? Or was it (and here I may have been a little naive) noticing a book being cited by another editor (on child abuse and scouting) and believing the simple addition of a mention of this book would improve the comprehensiveness of the scouting page (I had not come across the book before it was mentioned in discussion - but I see there is something of a technical problem, in that there is no easy way to list this book, the scouting page having no "Further reading" section, where it might most comfortably belong)?
Following the success of "[[What About Me]]", Noll's full-length debut album ''[[That's What I'm Talking About]]'' was released on [[9 February]] [[2004]] in Australia by Sony BMG. Containing a mixture of pop, rock and country tracks recorded over 6 weeks between December 2004 and January 2005, the album debuted at number one and was certified [[Music recording sales certification|triple-platinum]] upon its release. By August 2004, the album had been certified as a 5x Platinum seller and remained in the top 100 album charts for almost a year.

3) The W page on Trolls says "The basic mindset of a troll is that they are far more interested in how others react to their edits, than in the usual concerns of Wikipedians: accuracy, veracity, comprehensiveness, and overall quality." I believe my actions to have been properly motivated: it is inaccurate to ignore the child abuse question; it is true to say there are/have been child abusers attracted to scouting; and the addition of the book mentioned by others would have improved the comprehensiveness of the entry.
"[[Drive (Shannon Noll song)|Drive]]", an uptempo rock track written by Canadian singer [[Bryan Adams]], was another success for Noll when released as the second single from [[That's What I'm Talking About]] in March 2004. Noll undertook a large amount of promotion for the single including performances on television shows including '' "[[The Footy Show]]" '' and '' "[[Sunrise (TV program)|Sunrise]] ''. It reached the top 5 in Australia and was another [[Music recording sales certification|Platinum]] seller. Noll later performed "[[Drive (Shannon Noll song)|Drive]]" on the 2004 TV Week Logie Awards ceremony.

4) Part of the subsequent discussion focuses on questions of culture. I am British, and certainly within my culture (perhaps restricted to my age group, young middle-aged) references to "dodgy scout masters" are legion. No doubt other cultures experience things differently. (My being British also inevitably means that "separated by a common language" problems may arise between you and me.)
Noll undertook his first full scale solo tour in May 2004 playing 40 shows in 47 days. Noll later stated in an interview that (performing that number of shows in such a small amount of time) was something he would never do again.

5) Finally, you call me a troll - and as your experience of W is quite astonishingly greater than mine, presumably this greater experience increases the offensiveness of what must therefore be taken as a carefully considered insult by you. But I do not want to trade blows, which makes it very hard to raise my final (and possibly most significant point) without appearing just to be getting back at you. Please assume the best of intentions when I ask whether there is not, to put it at its lowest, something of a potential conflict of interest in having you (and it seems [[User:Jergen|Jergen]], to whose attention I hope you will draw this note) so heavily committed to and experienced in both scouting and W? Is there not a risk of a certain slackening of objectivity? I am not making conspiratorial claims - but questions come to mind of subconscious self-censorship and the wish to protect something you respect greatly, indeed maintain "group norms", despite the potential conflicts between the two groups (W and scouts) concerned. If this comment is old news, apologies: the entries on scouting are so large, long and numerous I haven't checked everything.
"[[Learn to Fly (Shannon Noll song)|Learn to Fly]]" was the third and final commercial release from [[That's What I'm Talking About]]. A limited edition release of 40,000 copies, the single was another success for Noll, debuting at the number one position on the [[ARIA Charts|ARIA singles chart]] on [[July 12]] [[2004]]. A mistake with ARIA sales figures occured when it was announced that fellow Australian Idol contestant [[Paulini]]'s debut single "[[Angel Eyes (Jeff healey song)|Angel Eyes]]" had infact debuted at the top of the singles chart and not Noll. It was later found out that a multiple purchase of [[Paulini]]'s single helped gain her the number one position and as such these sales were disqualified, leaving Noll with his second number one debut.

== Disruptive editor / revert war / I have reached three so can engage no more ==
Noll's increasing popularity during this period saw him star in his own one-hour TV special on the Ten Network, ''Up Close with Shannon Noll'', hosted by ''[[Australian Idol]]'' judge [[Ian Dickson|Ian "Dicko" Dickson]] which was screened on [[2 August]], [[2004]]. During the show, Noll spoke candidly about his past and touched on topics including his experiences with drugs and the death of his father. Noll also performed several songs during the special, including "[[Learn to Fly (Shannon Noll song)|Learn to Fly]]" which he dedicated to his father, and a duet with [[Australian Idol]] judge [[Marcia Hines]]. The special rated reasonably well, with over one million viewers tuning in.

Would you please review [[Panties]] in which the editor [[User:Robotman1974]] has repeatedly reverted my edits, calling them "unsourced" and "OR." In October 2004, Noll was able to achieve success outside [[Australia]] when his single "What About Me" reached number two in [[Ireland]]. Demand for the single was so that the initial shipment of physical singles from Australia sold out within the first week. Also in October 2004, Noll was also approached by the [[Nine Network]] to re-record the [[World Series Cricket]] song "C'mon Aussie, C'mon" with updated and lyrics incorporating the names of the current Australian cricket team, for release on [[19 December]], [[2004]]. The single was a further success for Noll, debuting and peaking at number two on the [[ARIA Charts|ARIA singles chart]]. The single, which was released in order to assist children's charities, raised in excess of AU$150,000.

In December 2004 it was announced that Noll would star in the stage musical production of ''Grease'', which appeared in Australian [[theatres]] in May 2005. However, Noll opted out of a role in the musical to concentrate on the recording of his sophomore album release, ''[[Lift (Shannon Noll album)|Lift]]''.

In early [[2005]], Noll embarked on a songwriting trip in which he travelled to London, UK and various locations within America. It was reported early on in the process that Noll had met with hitmaking songwriters [[Desmond Child]], responsible for writing hit songs for [[Bon Jovi]] and [[Aerosmith]] and powerballad writer [[Dianne Warren]]. Noll later explained that whilst he appreciated the opportunity to work with big name international songwriters, he felt the material being written by local Australian songwriters was more in connection with the type of album he wanted to create at the time and that they, simply, were writing the stronger songs.

{| style="border: 2px solid {{{border|blue}}}; background-color: {{{color|#cebdff}}};"
During his time in America in early [[2005]], Noll played a handful of small "showcase" style gigs both for Sony BMG exectives and the general public. Following the trip, Noll returned to Australia to complete the writing and recording of [[[Lift (Shannon Noll album)|"Lift"]].

Noll was asked by Canadian artist [[Bryan Adams]] to support him on Adams' Australian tour throughout February and March of 2005. It was during these concerts that Noll premiered two songs he had written for his new album, [[Lonely]] and [[The Winner Takes It All]] (the latter remains unreleased).

== Re: Bcat ==
On [[25 August]], [[2005]] the first single from his somophore album [[[Lift (Shannon Noll album)|Lift]], entitled "[[Shine (Shannon Noll song)|Shine]]" was released to Australian radio. The track was premiered simultaneously across Australia and quickly became one of the most requested songs. The uptempo bouncing pop-rock track was a deviation away from Noll's prior releases and it was commented that Noll's voice and vocal technique had improved since his last recording. [[Shine (Shannon Noll song)|Shine]] was released as the first single from the album [[[Lift (Shannon Noll album)|Lift]] on [[September 23]] [[2005]] and debuted at number one on the [[ARIA Charts|ARIA singles chart]] the following week. [[Shine (Shannon Noll song)|Shine]] was later nominated as Highest Selling Single at the 2005 [[Australian Recording Industry Association|ARIA]] Awards.

Quite honestly, I don't think I would have the time to undertake any substantial bureaucrat work, at this point. I'd probably consider running if there were a real emergency due to lack of bureaucrats; but as long as there are enough to keep things rolling, I don't really feel justified in running just to give myself another title. ;-) [[User:Kirill Lokshin|Kirill Lokshin]] 14:26, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
A week after the release of [[Shine (Shannon Noll song)|Shine]], Noll's somophore album [[Lift (Shannon Noll album)|Lift]] was released on 16 October 2005 and debuted at number one on the ARIA charts the following week. First week shipment and sales of [[[Lift (Shannon Noll album)|Lift]] ensured the album debuted with a platinum certification. The album, with 11 out of 13 tracks co-written by Noll, contained some of Noll's most personal songs to date, ranging in topic from finding love, death, overcoming the odds and self belief. Reviews for the album were generally positive, with highlight tracks being pinpointed as third and fourth singles [[Now I Run]] and "[[Lonely (Shannon Noll song)|Lonely]]".

== Regarding removing barnstar1 ==
Noll made a special guest appearance at the final of the 2005 season of [[Australian Idol]], where he performed his new single "[[Lift (Shannon Noll song)|Lift]]". After the performance, Noll was presented a plaque in honour of sales exceeding one million units in Australia over the past 18 months.

I would like say that I am not [[Djmckee1]], i was suprised to get that barnstar and I thank [[Djmckee1]] for it. I hope this clear things with you and [[Bloddyfriday]]. Thank You [[User:Ambirch1|Ambirch1]] 15:37, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
The title track of Noll's second album, "[[Lift (Shannon Noll song)|Lift]]", was released in December 2005. The single was Noll's first not to debut in the top ten, however two weeks after its release, it jumped to number ten, remaining there for several weeks. The track, an uplifting rock influenced song about overcoming the odds and fighting adversity, achieved a gold certification.

In January 2006 Noll made a special appearance in the 2006 [[Australian Open]] tennis final, performing the song "[[Shine (Shannon Noll song)|Shine]]". The performance sparked renewed interest in the [[Lift (Shannon Noll album)|Lift]] album which returned to the top ten. It was reported that mens finalist [[Roger Federer]] commented that the song was '' [[inspirational]] ''.
Thanks for uploading '''[[:Image:RopeBridgeOurChalet.jpg]]'''. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under [[Wikipedia:Fair use|fair use]], but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our [[Wikipedia:Fair use criteria|first fair use criterion]] in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

# Go to [[:Image:RopeBridgeOurChalet.jpg|the image description page]] and edit it to add <code><nowiki>{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}</nowiki></code>, '''without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template'''.
In support of the albums third single release [[Now I Run]], Noll embarked on a 72 date concert tour across Australia including a gig during the annual [[Gympie]] Muster. Once again Noll focused on some of the more remote and isolated country and rural areas during this tour, one of the few Australian touring acts to do so, and at completion of the tour had played to in excess of 200,000 people.
# On [[Image talk:RopeBridgeOurChalet.jpg|the image discussion page]], write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, [[Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission|requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license]], or by taking a picture of it yourself.
Noll was being courted for a role in an Australian movie in mid-2006 based loosely on the life of now-deceased Australian racing legend [[Peter Brock]], but he passed on it to focus on his music.

Noll released a further two singles from [[Lift (Shannon Noll album)|Lift]], [[Now I Run]] and [[Lonely (Shannon Noll song)|Lonely]]. Both singles were top ten hits, increasing his run of top ten successes to eight. With the release of [[Lonely (Shannon Noll song)|Lonely]], Noll rewrote Australian chart history by having so far achieved nine consecutive top ten singles (ten including his contribution to the #1 hit "Rise Up" with the Australian Idol Final 12, 2003). He has became the most successful singer and enduring talent from the [[Australian Idol]] series. To the end of 2006, Noll has been the only former [[Australian Idol]] contestant to have ever been nominated for an music industry-voted award by ARIA. As of January 2007, the [[Lift (Shannon Noll album)|Lift]] album remains in the Top 100 ARIA album chart after 64 weeks. It has now charted over a three year period from 2005 - 2007.

==Unspecified source for [[:Image:Jamboree_1999-Czech_Camp.jpg]]==
In September 2006, Noll decided not to continue with [[Sydney]] firm Caplice Management, who had been managing him since the release of his first album, and signed up with Worldwide Entertainment Group. The decision was seen as a positive move considering Noll's desire to gain success in America. It was reported in the press release distributed by Worldwise Entertainment Group that Noll is a high priority artist for them and that an extensive promotional and songwriting trip was organised in America in early 2007.

Thanks for uploading '''[[:Image:Jamboree_1999-Czech_Camp.jpg]]'''. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the [[copyright]] status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
Noll was chosen as support act for American rock group [[Live (band)|Live]] in October 2006, playing each capitol city across Australia. Including the tour with [[Live (band)|Live]], Noll has now performed in excess of 300 concerts in the last 2 and a half years.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{tl|GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the [[GFDL]]. If you believe the media meets the criteria at [[Wikipedia:Fair use]], use a tag such as {{tlp|fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at [[Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use]]. See [[Wikipedia:Image copyright tags]] for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
On 9 December 2006, Noll released a duet with [[Rogue Traders]] singer [[Natalie Bassingthwaithe]. It is a cover of the [[Peter Gabriel]] and [[Kate Bush]] hit "[[Don't Give Up (Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush song)|Don't Give Up]]". The single was yet another success for Noll, peaking at number two on the ARIA singles charts and being certified gold. Proceeds from the single went to the charity "Beyond Blue", which deals with depression.

===2007: '' Untitled third album ''===
Noll will spend several months in early 2007 travelling to both America and Europe to write songs for his upcoming third album. During Noll's "Now I Run" tour in mid 2006, he premiered a new composition entitled "The World Outside" which he mentioned may find a place on his next album. The track shows a distinct classic rock flavour which may be indicative of the sound of the new album.

In 2006, Noll challenged comedian [[Wil Anderson]] to a charity boxing match after Anderson made jokes about Shannon's late father Neil Noll at the [[Melbourne International Comedy Festival]]. Although $50,000 had been pledged to charity if the match went ahead, Anderson refused, prompting Noll to jibe: "Reach down in your trousers and see if there's a bit of manhood there. If you're lucky enough to find it, then stand up and be counted", to which Anderson replied: "The last thing this country (Australia) needs is a singing version of [[Anthony Mundine]]." Anderson eventually donated $2000 to a charity of Noll's choice, a sum of money which was matched and also donated by Noll.
P.S: Congratulations on becoming an administrator! Good Luck [[User:Ambirch1|Ambirch1]] 07:52, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi there, I question your decision on my report on [[User:Psantora]]'s violation of 3RR. There is no such a rule that if someone violated 3RR 2 weeks ago, he shouldn't be blocked for violation. I was unable to report him because of the block imposed on me by his report. More importantly, he hasn't realized he had violated 3RR. He needs to blocked to prevent him from further violation in the future. [[User:Miaers|Miaers]] 14:54, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
:"More importantly, he hasn't realized he had violated 3RR." You admit you never gave him a warning? You miss the whole point of 3RR, to stop edit wars. If he is continuing, submit a new report.[[User:Rlevse|Rlevse]] 14:58, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
He warned me first. He is more aware of this rule than me. I think the rule is the rule. And anyone should be the same before the rule. What I mean is that he doesn't admit his violation even after the warning, I discussed with him on my talk page during my block. [[User:Miaers|Miaers]] 15:02, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

== Redundant report ==
This [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/3RR&diff=prev&oldid=122751375 3RR report] was filed AFTER User:Iranzulqarnain had already been blocked for the same 3RR violation, so you essentially re-blocked that user for the same 3RR violation [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log&type=block&page=User:Iranzulqarnain], I don't think that's fair. The user in question is a newbie with 7 edits overall and is not yet familiar with any Wiki rules [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Iranzulqarnain]. There's a lot of newbie biting going on - which makes the newbie bite back. --[[User:Mardavich|Mardavich]] 01:23, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

Raul's 6th edit and talk page edits show at least borderline incivilty, which could be interpreted poorly by said person its being directed at.--[[User:Wizardman|<span style="color:#0F0;background:#006">Wizardman</span>]] 03:59, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

I say get rid of the article - it will be included in the Lancashire article when I get to it, but there's nothing that is of value in the current group article for merging, so let it go. -- [[User:Horus Kol|Horus Kol]] <small>[[User talk:Horus Kol|Talk]]</small> 06:41, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi Rlevse. Copyediting requests are piling up (have gone from zero for months to about five in the last week—I think it must be due to [[user:Tony1|a certain someone]]'s return :-). I generally don't like to make promises other than to finish the article I'm currently working on, but I'll keep BSofA on my list. Hopefully the ce project helps out. Thanks for asking. –[[User:Outriggr|<font color="#112299">Outriggr</font>]]&nbsp;[[User talk:Outriggr|''§'']] 07:42, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

Don't know why you banned this user, but [[User:DreCosby]], whose edits clearly show he's a sockpuppet, is requesting unblock right now because of an autoblock. Perhaps you wish to nab this one as well. [[User:Part Deux|Part Deux]] 21:50, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

The block of the IP expired, as a suspected IP of JJonathan, it was only blocked a week. I have crossed paths with JJonathan socks more than any other. I'll keep an eye on it.[[User:Rlevse|Rlevse]] 11:49, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

FYI, if you would like to add a ribbon to your user page in memory of those who were lost in today's events, you can use {{tl|Virginia Tech ribbon}} to place a small orange and maroon ribbon in the top right corner of your user page (similar to the {{tl|administrator}} icon). --[[User:BigDT|BigDT]] 04:05, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

:::That's just unreal. It had to be s-protected yesterday because it was getting edited 10-15 times/minute and even the admin rollback button wouldn't work for reverting vandalism.
