* This cleanup template can be used to tag pages that use [[Help:HTML_in_wikitext|HTML markup]] that can be replaced with [[Help:Wikitext|wiki markup]].

* <code><nowiki>{{Cleanup HTML}}</nowiki></code> puts articles into [[:Category:Articles with HTML markup]] and [[:Category:Articles covered by WikiProject Wikify]]

* This cleanup template can be used to tag pages that use [[Html markup]] that can be replaced with [[wiki markup]]. This includes bold tags (<nowiki><b></b></nowiki>), italics (<nowiki><i></i></nowiki>), paragraph (<nowiki><p></p></nowiki>), break lines in most cases, tables, etc.

* An unnamed parameter will replace the word "article" in the alert box message — <code><nowiki>{{Cleanup HTML|section}}</nowiki></code> changes the message to start "This section uses HTML markup".

* When adding to a page, it is helpful to other editors to specify which tags are unwanted, like this: <code><nowiki>{{Cleanup-cleanup HTML|tags=table, tr, td}}</nowiki></code> puts— articlesThese intotags [[:Category:Articleswill thatbe needdisplayed toin bethe wikified]]alert box.
