Regarding #2, there is a sentence in an untitled, as far as I can see, editorial section in the June issue, page 24, that says: "Teddy Norman's crooning on the icky “One Love" is pure dross, but thrush Chris Adams’ saucy innocence on “I’m a Big Girl Now’ (2 parts) is winning; she and McKinley address a tragic postwar shortage in “Have You Got Any Gum Chum?”". As best as I can tell, no other page 24 of any 1988 issue contains any mention of the song title. I checked the table of contents for all three volumes of the 5th just in case, and I couldn't find anything about Shaanxi. Unfortunately, these are the only proceedings I have access to. Sometimes there is an annual table of contents (the likelier the more journal-esque the periodical), which helps locate articles where you only know the author. Sometimes there are few issues and the issues have tables of contents that are very clear, which may also enable one to retrieve the article rather quickly. I'm just saying that there are also instances where that is not the case, and I think it makes sense in these cases to indicate that it's too difficult instead of either leaving the request here untouched (so someone else will have the same experience) or spending an extraordinary amount of time on it.
