resolved
I would greatly appreciate any access of copy of, or otherwise being able to view:
*J.F. Bonaparte, W.-D. Heinrich, and R. Wild, 2000, "Review of Janenschia Wild, with the description of a new sauropod from the Tendaguru beds of Tanzania and a discussion on the systematic value of procoelous caudal vertebrae in the Sauropoda", Palaeontographica Abteilung A 256(1-3): 25-76
This paper has proven extremely elusive, and appears to be the only paper in an significant way detailing Tendaguria, and one of few on Janenschia, and could help with their improvement, and verifying the material currently in these articles. A link to the website can be found here, but I have not been able to locate any way to view the article. it only has 8 pages. Thank you, Doc Taxon (talk) 20:22, 2 July 2016 (UTC)

*Since it's only 8 pages but is only held in three libraries, you might want to utilize Artrieve.com. It is a pay-service, but if the item is a must-have, it may be worth it. Softlavender (talk) 07:17, 4 July 2016 (UTC)

Softlavender Thanks for forwarding to Artrieve, but they reply, that they do not cooperate with these libraries. So I am looking for a local Wikipedian who can help to get this resource. Thank you, Doc Taxon (talk) 13:05, 8 July 2016 (UTC)

*Doc Taxon: New thought: You might want to change your header (which I tweaked just previously but still isn't going to work) to read: 8-page item held only in NYC, USC, Harvard libraries, so it will get the attention of Wikipedians in those locations. -- Softlavender (talk) 22:54, 22 July 2016 (UTC)
*Doc Taxon I'm passing through this page and I noticed only held in NYC in the above comment and seeing as I live in NYC... I've never used the NYPL before, but if there's no one else who can more easily make the trip, I can certainly make the trip down to Fifth Avenue (that seems to be where it is) to see if I could figure out how to get a look at it for you. == 3D World magazine #77 (May 2006) - Movers and Shakers ==
resolved
I'm working on Fish Heads Fugue and Other Tales for Twilight and have discovered, via this archived webpage , that an interview with the film's directors was printed in the above-specified magazine. Unfortunately, the actual interview doesn't appear to be online (at least, as far as I can tell). The publisher's official website only offers back issues from a few months ago, although it states that more can be found at the Apple Newsstand, the Google Newsstand, and Zinio. I'm currently stuck using a computer without i-tunes, so I can't confirm how many back issues are offered at the Apple Newsstand, but it looks like the Google Newsstand only goes back to 2013 and that Zinio only goes back to 2011. I've checked ebay, amazon, and abebooks, but so far, no luck. And HighBeam doesn't appear to have any articles by this publisher. Any other ideas? --Jpcase (talk) 15:50, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
:Per this site , it might be possible to access the interview if one had a subscription to the magazine at the time (so 2006). But it's possible that even this only goes back a few years. Anyone here actually have a subscription to this magazine and able to confirm on how it works? --Jpcase (talk) 15:19, 7 August 2016 (UTC)
::Worldcat shows 44 libraries hold physical copies of 51642394 (click Show libraries holding just this edition). Searches by ISSN or title return different lists of libraries. See if one near you holds the issue you want. If not, search the individual catalogs of the 44 libraries to narrow down the list (most holdings probably don't go back to 2006), then refine your resource request (i.e. "Assistance needed from Wikipedians who have access to the British Library, or Fashion Institute of Technology (Manhattan), or University of North Texas Library, or ...) --Worldbruce (talk) 16:46, 7 August 2016 (UTC)
:::Worldbruce Thanks for the advice! I'm still a bit of a novice at using WorldCat though, and don't understand exactly what the OCLC # is. I can see that there are five different "editions" of 3D World magazine listed on WorldCat, but don't know what the differences are between these - except that this one is apparently digitized. Why should I only view the results for OCLC 51642394? --Jpcase (talk) 17:25, 7 August 2016 (UTC)
::::If you wish to be thorough, examine all results by all search terms. My educated guess is that 51642394 will be your best bet. I know there are volunteers who monitor these requests and have access to the Britich Library, or who live in New York City. For all I know, you live around the corner from the National Library of Sweden, in which case 924716736 might be more useful, but I'm playing the odds. I doubt if the eJournal edition (570375653) will be of any help. From looking at a sampling of the 141 libraries that have it, their access is through ProQuest Career and Technical Education, and only started with the March 2016 issue. --Worldbruce (talk) 18:08, 7 August 2016 (UTC)
:::::Worldbruce Many of the libraries don't seem to specify which issues they have (some of them, when selected, won't even display information about the magazine at all). Still, several of the libraries appear to have issue #77, supposing that I'm understanding their catalogs correctly. None of them are near me, so I'll do as you suggested and open another resource request, along the lines that you described. Thanks for the help! --Jpcase (talk) 14:16, 10 August 2016 (UTC)

Seeking assistance from Wikipedians who have access to one of these libraries (3D World magazine)
resolved
As outlined in my previous request, two sections above, I'm searching for 3D World magazine, issue #77 (May 2006), primarily for use in the article Fish Heads Fugue and Other Tales for Twilight (although, this source would also contain some information on another film that I'm currently creating an article for in my sandbox, called Le Building). The publisher no longer sells back issues from this long ago; meanwhile, no online retailers seem to be currently selling copies of this particular issue. But there appear to be several university libraries that carry it - unfortunately, none near me. Can anyone with access to one of these libraries help me out?

This may not be a complete list (some of the library websites were hard to figure out), but I believe that all of these libraries have #77:

*EEng#s I know how to get around those, but it may take a little bit. The main thing you need to know is the copyright laws for the country it was published in, and you can research it on the wiki by reading the page on Copyright laws in "country". What you need to do is go onto the Google Books page, and search text in the bar below the image, the "snippet view" thing; then hit "Wheres the rest of this book". There should be a Boldface word saying Copyrighted, and then a bulletpoint of "ask us to review it". Now, you are taken to a new email, where you simply type out your case to Google Books on why the book is out of copyright, and then they add the full view online. I have done this twice, and both times I was correct in my argument and Google Books released the full view. If you need help, respond on my talk page and I can go through it better, or I can do it for you if you provide me with the information about the book (country, date, author etc). **Sorry for the late reply, this got archived very quickly after that message and I didn't get a chance to see it so I am reposting the thread. The gbooks snippet says the page I am looking at is p. 130, so it does not seem likely that the article I want is on pp. 27-23. The only way to tell for sure is to see a copy of the article, but what article is on page 130? It is quite likely the paper contains more information that can be used for expansion so a copy would have value beyond just getting the citation right. == Needing two sources from Newslibrary.com for article on animated short film ==
Resolved

I've been working on the article Fish Heads Fugue and Other Tales for Twilight, about a student thesis film made at Rhode Island School of Design. NewsLibrary appears to have two sources for the film: "Sublime and ridiculous intermingle in RISD student film festival" (Providence Journal, May 15, 2005) and "New name ... bigger game" (Standard-Examiner, March 25, 2006). For some reason, NewsLibrary has four different iterations of the second source, all published by the same newspaper and on the same date. If for whatever reason, there actually happen to be any differences between these, then I suppose that all four iterations could be of use to me. Otherwise, I just need the two sources. A subscription to NewsLibrary is required to access them. --Jpcase (talk) 23:30, 15 August 2016 (UTC)
:Jpcase, I've emailed you the two sources; the four iterations of the second source are all the same, as far as I can tell. John M Baker (talk) 17:37, 16 August 2016 (UTC)
