At the last [[2010 Surinamese legislative election|legislative elections]] (25 May 2010) the party received 12,095 votes (5.1% of the vote) and one seat in The [[National Assembly of Suriname|National Assembly]]. Their leader [[Carl Breeveld]], has been a member since 2010. The party is a reformist party. The party was founded on 2 December 1999.
