This guideline will protect userpages from anon. editing, and anyone but the user it represents or [[Wikipedia:Sysops|sysop]] from editing a [[Wikipedia:User page|userpage]].

*This will help stop vandalism and intrusive edits to the page.

*A very common form of [[Wikipedia:Vandalism|vandalism]] is Userpage vandalism.

*Most users do not like others editing their userpage.

This page outlines the policy and procedure for protecting user pages from editing by anonymous and unregistered users, and anyone other than the user the page belongs to or a Wikipedia administrator (sysop).
