Comma is _much_ more common for cities/towns/villages. Overview should be at [[WP:NC:CITY]]. I am not sure whether comma is really the best, since in general dab is done with brackets. But it has the advantage that one can guess the article is about a settlement. Also avoids conflicts with taluks. I today also saw "X (Indian city)" which is absoultly minority. Can't remember that I have seen this before. Also India is so big that I think the state names are much better than "X, India". Hi Ganesh,
Thank you a LOT for your help with the database and the bot code for Indian cities. I have now modified it to create Bengali language articles, and also fixed the number issue (i.e. added a function to do the numeral replacements).
Right now, we are doing a translation of the city/district names. We decided to start with West Bengal as we have some editors from West Bengal who can write the correct Bengali spelling of the city names. Once I get that done, I hope to run the bot and generate the articles.

All the diffs(exhibiting his incivility and personal attacks) I provide below are from '''AFTER, <U>I REPEAT, "AFTER"</U>. ADMIN BLUGYUEN INTERVENED, WARNED ALL OF US, BLOCKED MAHAWIKI AND SAID [THIS].
Please find below dozens of instances of blatant incivility and personal attacks by [[User:Mahawiki]] either on me or on [[User:Dineshkannambadi]] and all [[Kannadiga]]s in general. His remarks are in extremely bad taste and counterproductive resulting in undermining of the good faith efforts of the other editors to carry on editing their articles.
While I dont want to go into each and every diff and explain it, just to give you a sample of his incivility, he has made edits where, even if only in jest or sarcasm, he makes atrocious claims like, I am on a '''''kill Mahawiki''''' mission, that User:Dineshkannambadi is the [[Kannada]] (Bin) Laden(sic). In another edit, even if only for jest(which I certainly dont find amusing nor appreciate esp., when it comes from him), he has threatened to '''sue me'''. He has called us ''cultural'' '''TERRORISTS''', losers, notorious, shameless etc., etc. He uses the word vandalism like one would use 'Hi' and 'Hello'.
Find all the above and much much much more in the diffs I've provided below. '''Whats worse is his antics are going unchecked because Admin:Blugyen who knows about our feud is on a wikibreak and Admin:Sundar whose intervention I've sought more than once, is busy with other things(I presume, in real life) - which ofcourse, I dont hold against either of them.
But wikipedia will be a poorer place if brazen incivility like this goes unchecked for weeks simply because many admins dont know about it or the ones who know are by force of circumstances, too busy to deal with it.
I request immediate and harsh action on Mahawiki.

His incivility apart, he has made it a habit and a routine to go around all over wikipedia branding me and Dinesh as 'Kannadi' vandals bent on ''Kannadizing'' all articles we touch. Ask him if we have included any uncited material or if we has ever cited any references for his numerous claims or whether he has taken it up on the article talk page instead of on a random user talk page. His answer will be negative. And yet, that doesnt stop him from going around shouting that we have been vandalising articles!!
Anway, I dont want to veer this towards the 'content disputes' which is a whole different matter altogether. Content disputes can always be discussed and agreements reached. Let me present to you just his brazen incivility and personal attacks.

Sorry Ganesh, but with {{t1|Election box candidate with party link}} it is not possible because according to it we need to make color templates with full name. Just have a look and analyze. The template is associated with many parties, so it is not possible to make changes in template itself. What you wanted to say, I have experimented with the template also but did not get succeed. Dear Ganesh, This is Koteshwar from Ongara Ashram, Chennai. Santhosham.
I recently happened to view the Wikipedia page on Mayiladuthurai. I have been associated with Mayiladuthurai for over 3 years now - I traveled there on several occasions to gather details on the 21 saints who lived thereabouts. My Guru Swamy Ongarananda (who himself grew up in Mayiladuthurai) compiled these life histories of the saints in a 450 page book, which was released by Dharmapuram Mutt Adheenam on Sep 15, 2006 in Mayiladuthurai itself.
The fact that I mentioned the book, Mayiladuthurai Mahangal, on the Wikipedia page, was with the earnest desire that net users who browse this page learn of the numerous saints who lived here and the vast tomes of teachings they have left for us. Mayiladuthurai is indeed a special place for siddhars and this book does contain concrete evidence in the form of photographs, sculptures, documents, palm leaf scripts etc. to reinforce this claim.
With regard to your comment that this is 'book promotion' - well, this is Swamiji's 45th spiritual book over 30 years and we hardly are in need of such 'promotion' stunts. The rich spiritual legacy of Mayiladuthurai is there for everyone to claim and I have borne witness to sacred footprints that the saints have left on its soil over the centuries.
Its only to transmit this message worldwide that I made this entry. Please re-consider whether you have it edit it again.
One other thing - Mayiladuthurai Parabrahma Sadguru Siddhar Swamigal, an illustrious saint - lived over two decades in mayiladuthurai and attained Siddhi there. was honoured on His Birth Centenary in 2004 by a commemorative stamp release by the Department of Posts, Govt.of India. Placing him alongside other important citizens of Mayiladuthurai (both living and past) would indeed be appropriate, I guess.
