:Iamoctopus I'm gonna bold change it to 'Healthy Eating' - it's much harder to argue it's just 'Health' given the episode is about food. It's obviously not just eating, and while nutrition seems okay the emphasis is on 'health' throughout the lesson. Seems reasonable enough to change it to 'Healthy Eating' in my eyes. -<span style="color:#1C662A">Nott</span><span style="color:#2EB347">Nott</span>&#124;talk 23:10, 20 June 2016 (UTC)

:: Why are we trying to give the episodes names that aren't official anyway? We should either use the numbers or official names supported by suitable sources. Giving them names that attempt to summarise the theme of episodes that are widely debated and unofficial would be like wikipedia pages entitled 'Hamlet: Loss' or 'Macbeth: Ambition'. <fontspan colorstyle="color:#cb7b40;">Dubbin</fontspan>u&nbsp;&#124;&nbsp;t&nbsp;&#124;&nbsp;c 15:57, 29 June 2016 (UTC)
::: I've taken the liberty of removing all episode subtitles. The only one we know for sure is episode 2 (TIME), but to include that and exclude others is anachronistic. One could argue from the title sequence that the subtitle for the first episode is "Great Creative", but I don't see that anywhere. Anyway, the episode descriptions already have the themes so I don't think it's necessary. FallingGravity (talk) 06:12, 30 June 2016 (UTC)

Duck guy = Duck, and steak = lamb chop?
Ref 19, an 'interview' with the 3 main characters, appears to confirm that 'Steak' is a lamb chop and that 'Duck Guy' ought to be called 'Duck'. However it's not clear whether this ref is suitably reliable. Thoughts? <fontspan colorstyle="color:#cb7b40;">Dubbin</fontspan>u&nbsp;&#124;&nbsp;t&nbsp;&#124;&nbsp;c 08:53, 1 July 2016 (UTC)
:Well, we're not sure whether the steak being a lamp chop is just made up by the author of the article or actually confirmed by the creators. Guysayshi (talk) 13:41, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

I’ve heard so many people just call him ‘Steak Guy’ but many others say ‘he has no name’ or is just called ‘Steak’. May someone please explain this to me because I wish to know. If it is Steak Guy, I’m editing his description in ‘Characters’. Šüīçįdåł Śøñgbìrd (talk) 14:33, 6 April 2018 (UTC)
:Šüīçįdåł Śøñgbìrd A lot of fan websites go by 'Steak guy', but since there is no official source for this (unlike other characters like yellow guy, referenced all over the Kickstarter) we can't really give him any other title than 'Steak'. -<span style="color:#1c662a">Nott</span><span style="color:#2ca243">Nott</span> 17:07, 6 April 2018 (UTC)

What about Episode 7?
There’s a seventh episode of Don’t Hug Me. I’m Scared, which isn’t really relevant to earlier episodes, but I still feel we should include in the Episodes category, but maybe not Characters. What do you think? Šüīçįdåł Śøñgbìrd (talk) 17:24, 6 April 2018 (UTC)
:Šüīçįdåł Śøñgbìrd It's named as DHMIS 7 as a joke, with none of the same characters. I propose that there's a new level 3 heading under 'Plot' after Episode 6 that talks about the kickstarter campaign shorts and this joke of an episode 7. -<span style="color:#1c662a">Nott</span><span style="color:#2ca243">Nott</span> 12:20, 7 April 2018 (UTC)

Duck Guy or just Duck?
I've been watching these recently. When other people reference the main characters, they're referred to as Red Guy, Yellow Guy, and Duck. Is it Duck or Duck Guy? It seems to be pretty mixed on this, and I'm just checking to make sure.

According to the C4 episode descriptions, it’s Yellow Guy, Red Guy, and Duck. Writing froggy (talk) 23:50, 8 October 2022 (UTC)

Plot summaries
Eik Corell I disagree with the removal of plot summaries. Almost all articles about tv shows have them, even without sources. There's nothing wrong with the text that was introduced and I find plot summaries quite useful. Please reconsider. - <code>Daveout</code><small><span style="color:#333b40">(talk)</span></small> 04:29, 29 June 2021 (UTC)
:Sure, most shows have them, but the problem here is that this show really does not have much of a plot at all, and the episode summaries reflect this in that they delve into needless listing of details and event-by-event retelling of the episodes, i.e text X appears, character Y says Z, if you look closely at X time, Y can be seen, etc. The more general plot section is the happy medium here that avoids all of these problems, while still conveying the overall theme in a much more appropriate way. Eik Corell (talk) 12:28, 29 June 2021 (UTC)
::The lack of linearity in the plot is a characteristic of the surreal genre. Doesn't make sense to ask the summaries to have something the episodes don't have. (see for example David Lynch's Eraserhead; Jodorowsky's The Holy Mountain (1973 film)). - <code>Daveout</code><small><span style="color:#333b40">(talk)</span></small> 15:26, 29 June 2021 (UTC)
:::I don't know, those two plot sections, even if non-linear to some degree, still seem to describe something much more cohesive, or do so in a better way. At the risk of repeating myself a little, the sections here, drawing on the Episode 3: Love are mostly retellings, which, as I mentioned, makes sense in a way if you want to stretch out something that really is quite thin as far as plot or meaning goes. For example, that one puppet says "pesky bee", that the puppet repeats this later in the episode, or that another puppet says "father" before being crushed. A lot of these details listed, I would imagine, is simply fluff -- filler which may or may not have any real meaning or overall significance to the plot, so providing a concise plot summary is not really possible on such a per-episode basis because it can only be done through this scattershot, mention-everything kind of way, whereas the general plot section does so much more elegantly in a broader, more accessible way by looking at all the episodes as a whole. The way I see it, the episodes exist on a continuum -- Given how short they are and how they exist almost separately from each other apart from the episodes progressive falling apart so to speak, when you describe them individually, and in the amount of detail done in the linked example, you actually end up conveying less. In a way, brevity is lost. Eik Corell (talk) 23:39, 3 July 2021 (UTC)

Genre
Please note MOS:TVGENRE and Template:Infobox television: "Genres must be reliably sourced."

An anon IPv6 editor has spammed various articles including this one and added many genres. These should be trimmed back to only the primary genre/genres that are supported by reliable sources. -- 109.76.203.218 (talk) 20:51, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
: I have trimmed back some of the bloat, but fully expect it will need to be reduced again because some editors don't get that listing every possible genre instead of the main genre/genres makes the page less useful to readers. -- 109.76.203.218 (talk) 21:11, 6 November 2021 (UTC)

People are still edit warring over this genre spam? It still is not reliably sourced (not essential, ideally it would be) but it seems to have at least stabilized. -- 109.79.66.13 (talk) 15:50, 27 January 2024 (UTC)

Change summaries?
The current episode summaries for the original series, Wakey Wakey, and the new TV series seem more like blurbs than actual summaries. Should we change the current ones to ones that describe the plots/songs of the episodes rather than teasers? == 2 series instead of 1 ==

As the article is about both the webseries and the Channel 4 series, shouldn't it say that the 'franchise' consists of 2 series.

If you consider both to be part of the same show then it should say there are two seasons (or series). And if you consider them separate shows, then It should also say it has two series, since the article talks about both shows. == TV series cast and reception ==

I personally feel like the cast for the TV series and reception for the TV series should be solely in the page about the TV series, since this page mostly talks about the web series and the pilot. the horror comedy doesn't describe the series accurately: they're pure horror (or normal series mimicing horror), but not horror comedy. i suggest removing or changing it somewhat ТуманныйКот (talk) 02:09, 18 January 2025 (UTC)
