:@RAN1, @Pppery, this misses the point of that link, which is to take you to the backlog. We already have a link to the top of the page at the left of the table. If you really think it's not generally useful for RFD to link to its backlog, just remove the link instead. Personally, I think it's fine if it's not perfect every once in a while. ::@Izno, @Pppery: I've been thinking about this, and I put together a version at the sandbox which returns a link to the section for the last backlogged discussion (prototype at Template:XFD backlog/sandbox). I'm also bringing this up at WP:VPT for comment. Let me know what you think. RAN1 (talk) 21:34, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
::: I'm not convinced it's worth adding more complicated code to handle this scenario and prefer either the status quo ante or the original suggestion with no opinion which. ::::The current default skin Vector 2022 has no toc anchor so I have reverted per backlog template issue. PrimeHunter (talk) 09:52, 22 February 2025 (UTC)

Bug at Old discussions at Wikipedia:Templates for discussion
There is a bug with the May 25 Old discussions at Wikipedia:Templates for discussion. The first item in the listed templates isn't bulleted like the rest. Gonnym (talk) 05:35, 3 June 2023 (UTC)

TFD level 5 heading bug
Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2023 June 23#Template:WIR is a level 4 heading, and it got really big so a level 5 heading called "Break" was added to it. Before I closed it, this module was listing "Break" as an un-closed discussion at Wikipedia:Templates for discussion#Old discussions. It was cutting off and not showing Template:WIR at all. Might be worth fixing. –<span style="color:blue">Novem Linguae</span> <small>(talk)</small> 18:19, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
: Not this module's fault. It reads from Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Old unclosed discussions, which is generated by AnomieBOT. Cc Anomie * Pppery * it has begun... 18:23, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
:: And for the record it is including the original discussion, including the break, as well as a second unclosed discussion. Anyway there's nothing else I can do here. * Pppery * it has begun... 18:27, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
::: On occasion people doing mass nominations have used level-5 headings for the actual nominations, grouped under a level-4 heading. Is that something that the bot should continue to support? Anomie⚔ 19:50, 14 July 2023 (UTC)

The "total" value for the RfD row links to the section "toc", which is not present on the article (Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion#toc). Either change the section link to #Current list or other solution that I'm unaware of. HKLionel (talk) 06:20, 22 February 2025 (UTC)
:That's not a section, but rather an anchor. This particular anchor is automatically generated by the table of contents, as described at Help:Link#Table row linking. Are you experiencing some problem with the link? jlwoodwa (talk) 07:05, 22 February 2025 (UTC)
::Then yes, when I click on it, nothing happens apart from a pop-up message on the top right of the page: "This topic could not be found. It might have been deleted, moved or renamed." I am using Google Chrome on desktop. Is it different for you? HKLionel (talk) 07:14, 22 February 2025 (UTC)
:::The link brings me to the table of contents, partway down the page, just as with a section link. I don't get an error popup. Maybe someone at WP:VPT would know what's going on. jlwoodwa (talk) 07:20, 22 February 2025 (UTC)
::::Alright, I'll ask there. Cheers. HKLionel (talk) 07:56, 22 February 2025 (UTC)
