''Interlocking Forms'' is an [[Abstract art|abstract]] geometric sculpture by Donald Wilson, who intended to create "just a human kind of presence in its relation to human beings in the environment".<ref name=SI>{{cite web|title=Interlocking Forms, (sculpture).|url=http://siris-artinventories.si.edu/ipac20/ipac.jsp?&profile=all&source=~!siartinventories&uri=full=3100001~!320922~!0#focus|publisher=[[Smithsonian Institution]]|accessdateaccess-date=October 4, 2014|archive-date=October 6, 2014|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20141006101215/http://siris-artinventories.si.edu/ipac20/ipac.jsp?&profile=all&source=~!siartinventories&uri=full=3100001~!320922~!0#focus|url-status=live}}</ref><ref name=PAA>{{cite web|title=Interlocking Forms|url=httphttps://www.publicartarchive.org/workart/interlockingInterlocking-formsForms|publisher=Public Art Archive|accessdateaccess-date=October 4, 2013}}</ref> It is made of [[Indiana Limestone]] and measures approximately {{Convert|60|in|m}} x {{Convert|18|ft|m}} x {{Convert|6|ft|m}}. The piece was commissioned by [[TriMet]] for $25,000; twenty percent of the funds came from TriMet and eighty percent came from the [[United States Department of Transportation]].<ref name=SI/> It was originally installed in the Transit Mall in 1977, along with ten other sculptures, to make the area "more people oriented and attractive".<ref name=PAA/> Its condition was deemed "treatment needed" by the [[Smithsonian Institution]]'s "[[Save Outdoor Sculpture!]]" program in October 1993.<ref name=SI/> In 2008, it was relocated to the intersection of Southwest 5th Avenue and Southwest Washington Street as part of the Portland Mall Revitalization Project.<ref name=PAA/>
