Situated in a large lush green campus, IET offers undergraduate and graduate engineering programs in five major disciplines along with hosting a wide variety of research labs and student outreach programs.

IET was founded in the year 1996 as part of an effort to increase the number of seats in Engineering Colleges state-wide. Complementing the renowned DAVV School of Electronics and the International Institute for Professional Studies (IIPS), the college helped complement the Technology and Management related offerings from the University of Indore (DAVV). The presence of world renowned Scientific Institutes like Center for Advanced Technology (CAT) and growing technology parks around the city made it possible to provide the resources necessary to transform it into one of the leading centers of learning in Western [[Madhya Pradesh]].

The institute in a constant upgradation mode. The Management has envisaged a supmtuous expansion plan for the institute that includes individual labs for each vertical in a engineering discipline and quarters for faculties.

The admission to B.E/B.Tech is through the [[Joint Entrance Examination – Main|JEE (Main)]] exam.

==Admission ProcedureInvento ==

Invento is the annual technical festival of the Institute Of Engineering And Technology, DAVV which is held in August and September. It is organized by the students and the members of IET DAVV. Admission to the college is granted on the basis of applicants rank in the merit list from the Pre Engineering Test (PET) conducted by the state of Madhya Pradesh Education Board and some seats are alloted based on the AIEEE merit list, the exam is conducted by CBSE.

Computer Engineering department from the institute has produced many engineers with illustrious track record. Many of them are at good places in Global as well as national IT MNCs viz. [[IBM]], CSC, Sapient, TCS, Wipro, Infosys.
