: What the heck are you talking about? Delphi is descended from [[Turbo Pascal]] and was released in 1995. C# was first released in 2000. How can Delphi be a descendant of C#? As for Groovy, have you tried reading the [[Groovy (programming language)|WP article]]? It has a C/Java-like syntax, so if Java is a descendant of C, then Groovy is too. I'm removing [[Limbo (programming language)|Limbo]] from the descendants as it's neither a direct descendant of C nor is its syntax significantly related nor is it a compiled language (we don't include Java either).
