"'''Melchoir'''" is a semi-intentional bastardization of "[[Melchior]]". It started as a misspelling recognized many years before Wikipedia, but it has that musical quality, doesn't it? Like the wise man, I am male.

Most of my watchlist consists of [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Mathematics|mathematics]] and [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Physics|physics]]. I'm currently improving our coverage of [[elementary mathematics]] and the [[history of physics]] with great deliberation and stealth.

Occasionally, I patrol [[Special:Newpages]]. I enjoy helping articles get started and welcoming new contributors. On the other hand, I have very little tolerance for [[WP:Stupid|people who write about themselves]].
