{{edit extended-protected|Dnipro|answered=yes}}
The history section of this article is [[WP:LENGTH|long]] enough to merit its own article. See also German-language article: [[de:Geschichte der Stadt Dnipro|History of Dnipro (city)]]. Thoughts? -- [[User:M2545|M2545]] ([[User talk:M2545|talk]]) 10:27, 2 March 2022 (UTC)
Under the sub-heading "[[Dnipro#2022_Russian_invasion_of_Ukraine|2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine]]" in the "History" section, the see-also article name is outdated. (It is now year 2025 in Ukraine). Please change it from "2022-2023 Dnipro missile strikes" to "[[Dnipro strikes (2022–present)]]", the current name of the linked article. Thanks. :{{ping|M2545}} I took out the political stuff (election results and famous politicians who were involved in national politics etc.) from the history section of this article the last days and placed this in [[Dnipro#Politics]]. I did this because looking at the Wikipedia articles [[History of London]] and [[History of Berlin]] this kind of information does not belong in the history section of a Wikipedia article about a city... Is in your opinion the history section of this article still [[WP:LENGTH|long]] enough to merit its own article? I am afraid not, and is afraid that a [[History of Dnipro]]· will be nothing but only a slightly longer version then the history section of this article. — '''[[User:Yulia Romero|Yulia Romero]]''' • [[User_talk:Yulia Romero|Talk to me!]] 21:02, 29 August 2022 (UTC)
::{{done}}<nowiki>I!-- agree.Template:EEp unless there is to be substantial new material there is no cause for a separate history page.~~~</nowiki--> [[User:ManfredHughLizardJr8|ManfredHughLizardJr8]] ([[User talk:ManfredHughLizardJr8|talk]]) 0903:18, 301 AugustJanuary 20222025 (UTC)
{{ping|M2545}} & {{ping|ManfredHugh}} I have expanded the history section in the weeks since last 30 August.... So it is longer now... I still think that it is not long enough for a separate article, but it is actually possible now to do it. And to be honest, I do not want to invest my time in a separate [[History of Dnipro]] English language Wikipedia article (because I will not learn any new things about one of my favourite cities while doing it). — '''[[User:Yulia Romero|Yulia Romero]]''' • [[User_talk:Yulia Romero|Talk to me!]] 19:50, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
* '''Oppose''' while the article is on the longer side (a little over 10000 words of readable prose), its not enough to justify an article split. Probs best to just do some condensing and cleanup and the article will be fine. Please change

'''Dnipro'''[a] is Ukraine's fourth-largest city

To

'''Dnipro'''[a], formerly '''Dnipropetrovsk''' is Ukraine's fourth-largest city

Or

'''Dnipro'''[a], formerly '''Dnipropetrovsk''' and '''Yekaterinoslav''' is Ukraine's fourth-largest city

There are still a ton of links to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yekaterinoslav. I think the connection between these names should therefore be in the first paragraph.

Yes: There were other names since the city became important ~1800. Especially '''Yekaterinoslav''' but people who are reading sources from that time do not come here and stop reading after the first paragraph to get a brief overlook. Also sources from 1800 usually do not link to Wikipedia. --[[User:Fabiwanne|Fabiwanne]] ([[User talk:Fabiwanne|talk]]) 03:12, 28 January 2025 (UTC)

Change "(7—3 thousand Anno Domini)" to "(7—3 thousand BCE)" or (7—3 thousand Anno Domini BS).
Add the Medium Range Ballistic Missile with a non nuclear MIRV payload strike on dnipro to the russia-ukraine war section.[[Special:Contributions/188.155.107.191|188.155.107.191]] ([[User talk:188.155.107.191|talk]]) 07:28, 25 November 2024 (UTC)

Small change, the former "Anno Domini" is a clear mistake in the context, where paleolithic settlements are discussed. [[Special:Contributions/5.2.197.51|5.2.197.51]] ([[User talk:5.2.197.51|talk]]) 11:07, 11 April 2025 (UTC)

::{{done}} Hi you! Thank you for being so observant. You can edit the text that you write in Talk in the same way that you write text in Talk. You can simply erase a mistake, and write something else. Does that answer your question? Friendly, [[User:Lova Falk|Lova Falk]] ([[User talk:Lova Falk|talk]]) 17:49, 11 April 2025 (UTC)
