==Overview==

The absolute debugger is a legacy UNIX debugger found on Solaris 1 and 2, HP-UX and SCO. This utility was outdated by the GNU Debugger (gdb) and is not included in any modern Operating Systems.

ADB was provided with Solaris until Solaris 8 (2000), when it was replaced by the [[Modular Debugger]] (mdb) with Solaris 8 (2000) and the ADB [[command-line interface]] now is emulated by mdb when it is called as adb.
