Texas Instruments developed in 1970–1971 a one-chip CPU replacement for the [[Datapoint 2200]] terminal, the TMX 1795 (later TMC 1795). Like Intel's later [[8008]], it was rejected by customer Datapoint. According to Gary Boone, the TMX 1795 never reached production.
