A possible template for individual episodes of television series has been implented for the episodes of Babylon 5; see Midnight on the Firing Line for an example of this template in action. An abbreviated version is included below for comment and improvement.
WP:TVETOCleft
This is a task force of WikiProject Television for the coverage of episode related content (as opposed to over-all show information, or other general TV article). This includes Lists of episodes, season / series / story arc articles, and individual episode articles.

This task force is the result of merging WP:TVE and WP:LOE. You will find all those guidelines, templates, and advice on this page, as well as new information. This was done to better organize all articles relating to episode-level detail.
Other series for which there exist numerous articles about invididual episodes, and for which formatting should be standardized:
* Star Trek and its many spinoffs
* Alias
* List of The Twilight Zone episodes
* Buffy the Vampire Slayer -- see WikiProject Buffy
-------

To include articles in this task force, add
episode-coverage=Yes
to WikiProject Television on the article's talk page. To assess articles for this task force add for example,
episode-coverage-importance=low
after including the articles as part of the task force.

Technically speaking, anyone who edits / contributes to TV and episode articles is a participant, and there are no requirements other than that. If one wishes they can further identify themselves with the task force by adding User TV Eps to their user page.

Some advice regarding television episode article assessment:
*Top-importance episodes have attained a status of significant importance not just to a single television series, but to the history of television or pop culture at large. Examples: "The Winds of Winter" (Game of Thrones), "The Last Show" (Mary Tyler Moore Show)
*High-importance episodes are very important or notable in the context of an individual series, and has gained recognition to general audiences outside of that series as well. Examples: "The Contest" (Seinfeld), "Made in America" (The Sopranos)
*Mid-importance episodes may have particular significance in the context of an individual show, but has not necessarily gained significant importance outside of that series. Examples: "The One with Ross's Wedding" (Friends), "Scott Tenorman Must Die" (South Park)
*Low-importance episodes are not of any particular importance, within the context of the series of the individual series or otherwise, but still satisfy Wikipedia's notability guidelines. Examples: "Ron and Tammy" (Parks and Recreation), "Lemon of Troy" (The Simpsons)

Writing episode pages
"Midnight on the Firing Line" marks the first mention of Londo's dream fortelling his own death. The fulfillment of this prophecy is seen in "War Without End," although it takes place in a markedly different context than that which Londo anticipates in this episode.

"Midnight on the Firing Line" was originally titled "Blood and Thunder."

*See Wikipedia:Featured lists#Media for a full list of TV-related Featured lists.
Although "The Gathering" was filmed as the pilot episode and was intended to be followed immediately with regular episodes, there was actually almost a year between the broadcast of the pilot and the broadcast of the first episode -- therefore "Midnight on the Firing Line" functioned in part as a second pilot.

Additional relevant guidelines and advice:
* When Londo approaches G'Kar to confront him about the attacks, G'Kar offers Londo spoo, noting that it is "quite fresh." In the fifth season episode "A Tragedy of Telepaths," we learn that the Centauri consider an offer of fresh spoo an insult.

* Episode list
** Simplifies the method of creating new lists in a table format, using the project's recommended layout. Participants are encouraged to begin applying them to episode lists.
* For lists that only list titles and air dates, etc., and do not include summaries, remove ShortSummary, which will remove the summary cell, colored line separator and default cell coloring.
* Please be sure to use Start date for the first-broadcast date of each episode.
