Defamer article
German Empress Friedrich (née Her Royal Highness The Princess Victoria, Princess Royal) (Victoria Adelaide Mary Louise), (21 November 1840 – 5 August 1901) was Empress of Germany and Queen of Prussia. She was a daughter of Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha and Queen Victoria and later married into the Prussian Royal House, Hohenzollern. She was the consort of German Emperor Friedrich III, and mother of the Emperor-King Wilhelm II of Germany. She also held the title of Princess Royal.
From the Defamer article:
:Hours of tireless research and a few friendly e-mails from Black’s publicist have disabused us of the notion that any onanistic camera work exists, and that the Wikipedia submitter is having some fun at the actor’s expense. ($9.99? Nothing that good ever happens to us.)
:Yes, our thoughts on the truth-telling skills of celebrity publicists are well documented, but there’s no good reason to be skeptical in this instance. Black doesn’t even have a website (Tenacious D’s notwithstanding), unless he’s moonlighting in Arizona real estate, and the flack notes JB’s been in New Zealand shooting King Kong since August. While we’re pretty sure masturbation is legal in New Zealand, we imagine it would be exceedingly difficult to use one of Peter Jackson’s expensive movie cameras to shoot this kind of DVD bonus feature for the fans.

Princess Victoria was born on November 21, 1840 at Buckingham Palace, London. Her mother was the reigning British monarch, Queen Victoria, the only daughter of King George III's fourth eldest son, HRH Prince Edward Augustus, Duke of Kent. Her father was HRH Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.
Jack Black uses almost the same set of facial expressions as lead singer, Jello Biafra, of the Dead Kennedy's. Find some live footage, you'll see what I mean.

As a daughter of the sovereign, Victoria was a British princess with the style Her Royal Highness. In 1841, the Queen created Victoria, the title of Princess Royal, a title sometimes conferred on the eldest daughter of the sovereign. Victoria was then styled HRH The Princess Royal. To her family she was known simply as Vicky. Until the birth of her brother, The Prince Albert Edward, Victoria was also the heiress presumptive to the throne.

The education of Victoria was closely supervised by her parents. She was precocious and intelligent, unlike her brother Albert Edward. She was taught to read and write before the age of five by her governess Lady Lyttelton and to speak French by her French nursery maid. The Princess Royal learned French and German from various governesses and science, literature, Latin, and history by Sara Ann Hildyard. Prince Albert tutored her in politics and philosophy.

Anchorman
In 1851, Victoria met her future husband, His Royal Highness Prince Friedrich Wilhelm of Prussia (18 October 1831-15 June 1888), when he and his parents were invited to London by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert to attend the opening of the Great Exhibition. At the time, Friedrich, the son of Prince Wilhelm of Prussia and Princess Augusta of Saxe-Weimar, was third in line to the Prussian throne. The couple were engaged in 1855 when Friedrich, was on a visit to Balmoral.

He also had a small role in Anchorman (2004)
The Prussian Court and Buckingham Palace publicly announced the engagement on 19 May 1857. The couple were married, at Queen Victoria's insistence, at the Chapel Royal, St. James's Palace, on 25 January 1858. The marriage was both a love match and a dynastic alliance. The Queen and Prince Albert hoped that Victoria's marriage to the future king of Prussia would cement close ties between London and Berlin, and possibly lead to the emergence of a unified and liberal Germany.

Victoria and Friedrich had eight children:

X Files
Crown Princess of Prussia
I'm watching the X Files now, with this lightning boy, and he looks like the owner of some video arcade in this episode. I'm not sure, but it sure looks like him. Not sure to put it in the article though, this is a very old episode and I'm not sure if it's exactly him.
In January 1861, on the death of his childless uncle Frederick William IV of Prussia and the accession of his father as King Wilhelm I, Prince Friedrich became Crown Prince of Prussia. The new Crown Prince and Crown Princess, however, were politically isolated; their liberal and Anglophile views clashed with the authoritarian rule of the Prussian minister-president, Otto von Bismarck.

: Yes, he takes part in some episode of "The X Files" (episode # 3.3: "D.P.O.", acording to The Greatest Jack Black Site in the World, but I personally don't remember to have seen him, though it's possible, I didn't know him at the time when I've probably watched the episode. --Tzeck 11:10, 1 September 2005 (UTC)
During the three Wars of German Unification--the 1864 Prussian-Danish War, the 1866 Austro-Prussian War, and the 1870-71 Franco-Prussian War -- Victoria and Friedrich strongly identified with the cause of Prussia and the North German Confederation. Their sympathies created a rift among Queen Victoria's extended family, since Victoria's younger brother, the Prince of Wales, was married to Princess Alexandra of Denmark, the elder daughter of Christian IX of Denmark, who was also reigning duke of the disputed territories of Schleswig and Holstein. At Versailles on 18 January 1871, the victorious princes of the North German Confederation proclaimed a German Empire with King Wilhelm I of Prussia as the hereditary German Emperor (Deutscher Kaiser) with the style Imperial and Royal Majesty (Kaiserliche und Königliche Majestät); Fritz and Vicky became Crown Prince and Crown Princess of the German Empire with the style Imperial and Royal Highness (Kaiserliche und Königliche Hoheit).

I do confirm so, I've just watched the episode and he was in the credits
Empress Friedrich
Tenacious D
On the death of his father on 9 March 1888, the Crown Prince ascended the throne as the Emperor Friedrich III and Victoria adopted the title and style of the Empress Friedrich. Friedrich III, however, was terminally ill with throat cancer and died after reigning 88 days.
This makes no mention of perhaps the single most responsible role for his current stardom, and that is the one of himself in the HBO show "Tenacious D."

: So tell us about it! The great thing about Wikipedia is that anyone, yes anyone, even you, can add information. I know next to nothing about that, so why don't you enlighten us? --Jacqui M Schedler 04:43, 19 September 2005 (UTC)
The widowed Victoria lived in retirement at Friedrichshof, a country house she built near Kronberg. Politically, she remained a liberal and because of this, her already strained relationship with Emperor Wilhelm II deteriorated. In Berlin, Victoria established schools for the higher education of girls and for nurses' training. She patronized the arts and learning, becoming one of the organizers of the 1872 Industrial Art Exhibition.

Projects in the mill
Throughout her married life and widowhood, Victoria kept in close touch with other members of the British Royal Family, particularly her eldest brother, the future Edward VII. She maintained a regular correspondence with her mother. According to the Royal Encyclopaedia, some 3,777 letters from Queen Victoria to her eldest daughter have been catalogued, as well as more than 4,000 from daughter to mother.
So, does anyone else have information regarding Black's upcoming projects? It feels unfair to single a couple of them out by name in the article, when there are 5 or so in the pipeline for the next two years. --Jacqui M Schedler 05:09, 19 September 2005 (UTC)

: With respect, an encycopedia doesn't give out this kind of information. People should see links to his IMDB page or whatever if they want that sort of information.
Victoria died of cancer of the spine at Friedrichshof in August 1901. She was interred next to her husband at the royal mausoleum of Friedenskirche at Potsdam on 13 August.

In the article it says, "Black supports the legalization of marijuana and referred to those who wished to keep it banned as 'old fucking shrivs' in the Tenacious D song, 'City Hall'." This seems a little slack to me. Although I'm not saying I don't believe that Jack Black supports the legalization of Marijuana, there should be a citation other than the lyrics of a commedy song. In the same song, Black calls for such things as riots to tear down society and for public and private transportation to be replaced by "tube" travelling. However, the article doesn't state these as opinions. If Black supports the legalization of Marijuana, we should have a better source than this.

----
Jack Black (actor) → Jack Black — Links throughout Wikipedia that refer to ANY person named Jack Black refer to the actor 10 times as much as all the other Jack Blacks combined (this can be seen by checking the What Links Here pages for each. There are very few links to the other Jack Blacks.) So we know the other Jack Blacks are not extremely significant figures. Second, if you check what links to the plain Jack Black ->Black, you'll notice virtually ALL refer to the actor. Thus, many links are leading to a disambiguation page when none is necessary. The actor is by far the most common person searched for named Jack Black. Thus, we should follow the Michael Jackson rule here. Bssc81 19:42, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

The fact that most Jack Black links point to the disambig page is a flag that those links need to be fixed just as much as it is evidence that this page should be moved. *Oppose Though I plan to name my first three kids after him, Jack Black may not be the biggest Jack Black ten years from now. We should stick with the normal format--it doesn't diminish his prowess. For that matter, I wouldn't give Michael Jackson (twisted, attention-starved "adult" vestige of the popular child singer) the exclusive MJ page either. Not a battle I'd engage in, though--it'd just give him more attention, which is a mistake. ===Discussion===
Add any additional comments:
* Response to some people above - he may not be as famous as Michael Jackson, but it's pretty close when you consider his fame relative to other people named Jack Black. Nobody else comes close - as I mentioned, look at how few links there are to the "secondary" Jack Blacks. Consider John Adams (and see John Adams (disambiguation)). Far more people are named "John Adams" than "Jack Black", yet the fact that one single John Adams is far more popular than the others is why the article is not named "John Adams (former U.S. president)". I'm not sure what the rule of thumb is, but the fact that 90%+ links to "Jack Black" are intended for the actor should mean something. As a secondary reason, it's a lot less work to move this page than to change every single link to "Jack Black". --Bssc81 23:46, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
** Response to above "I'm sorry...": Don't be sorry. I'm not opposing it for that reason; I don't think we should create precedents that might spawn time-consuming discussions like this over every famous person whose fans want them to have a Wiki-exclusive on their name. I certainly was not saying that my opinion of MJ's antics should be the determining factor in titling his article. I also think it's a safe bet that Ben Franklin will still be a household name in ten years. -Eric (talk) 14:50, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
