For this purpose, a winged reusable launch vehicle technology demonstrator ('''RLV-TD''') has been configured. The RLV-TD acted as a flying test bed to evaluate various technologies like powered cruise flight, [[hypersonic flight]], and autonomous landing using air-breathing propulsion.
