Naming
Deep Blue is a character from Tokyo Mew Mew. He is the leader of the Aliens, Kish, Tart, and Pie. He is name in unchanged in Mew Mew Power, and Profondo Blu in Mew Mew: Amiche Vincenti (Italian version).
I've changed the redirects again for now, since the page was moved again, (meaning, if you are going to move the page, please change all the redirects, like Ganryuu did) but I'm not so sure about this claim that the movie was released in the USA as Toward the Terra, because IMDb lists it at Terra e... (with Toward the Terra as an alternative title - I suppose that indicates the official English release title?)

More to the point, I suppose it's the manga's title that is important in this case. --Darkbane 12:06, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
Manga
spoiler
Deep Blue is the leader of the aliens trying to take over Tokyo. His identity is shrouded in mystery until volume 6 of the manga, in which it is revealed that, like the Blue Knight, he is part of Masaya Aoyama. Unlike the kind and gentle Masaya, Deep Blue is cold, cruel and will not hesitate to hurt Ichigo or anyone else. When he tries to kill Ichigo Momomiya, he's stopped by Kish who challenges him to a duel. Deep Blue wins, but Masaya releases the Mew Aqua inside their (his own) body by stabbing himself with his own sword, reversing the damage caused by Deep Blue and defeating the alien's leader.

:I own the North American release of Toward the Terra. On laserdisc. I can scan the cover for you, if you like. Snarfies 23:43, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
Anime
::That would be great; we could use that as a fair use identification image. Could you possibly provide any details about the American release? I've added some for the English manga release but I can't find any for the movie. We could use the publisher/distributor, the release date, the English voice cast, any theatrical release data if available, any mention of runtime differences due to censorship, roughly in that descending order of importance.

:::Okay. I'll do it sometime this coming week. It was release by TRSI. I'll have to pull the disk out for the rest of the info. Snarfies 17:39, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

::As for the title, I am fine either way anyway. I originally created this article as Toward the Terra, and I think both titles are acceptable. Even To Terra... is acceptable as that is the official English translation of the manga, as published by Vertical Inc.
At the time when the Aliens release the previous Chimera Animals upon the city, Ichigo goes to stop them from stealing Masaya's spirit while the other Mew Mews handled the Chimera Animal crisis. When Kish tries to steal Masaya's spirit, it doesn't work and Masaya transforms. He doesn't turn into the Blue Knight, but goes ballistic and turns into Deep Blue. Ichigo doesn't want to fight Masaya in this form, which results in the other Mew Mews having to fight him. Deep Blue easily defeats the Mew Mews (except Ichigo) where they de-transform after blocking an attack heading toward Ichigo. Ryou Shirogane turns into Alto to get to Ichigo before he finishes her off. Deep Blue escapes upon Alto's arrival and Ichigo pursues him. She finally goes into a face-off against him trying to get Masaya from within to remember while the other Mew Mews battle against Pie and the Chimera Animal that was responsible for the death of Ryou's parents. Ichigo is losing badly until Masaya within Deep Blue begins to fight him until Deep Blue is dead and Masaya is free once Ichigo uses her finishing attack on Deep Blue. His identity is shrouded in mystery until episode 49. Deep Blue's voice is first heard on episode 2, but we don't see him until episode 26, and then only as a shadow.

:::Ugh, I wasn't aware the translated manga was out, and under a different name. To Terra..." would also be fine, but either way the Japanese title ought not be used in the English Wikipedia if there's an official release. Snarfies 17:39, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

::Perhaps we can go with the earliest English official translation? Which I then gather would be the English language movie release... According to ANN it was released in 1994 on VHS and 1995 on LD, if the name was “Toward the Earth” or “To the Earth...” I cannot discern from ANN. But according to http://www.amazon.com/dp/6303239153 (1994 VHS) and http://www.caldc.com/files/entries/lvd9502.html (1995 laserdisc) it’s “Toward the Terra”.
Physical Description
::Kess 18:44, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
He has distinctive long, pointy ears, and his skin is so pale it's almost white. He always wears a long, dark blue cloak that goes down to his feet, and he wears dark blue shorts under it. He seems very well-to-do with his appearance and dress.

:::I think we can stick with Toward the Terra, per Kess' and Snarfies' arguments. I've added the official names of the releases to the infobox, so that should become clearer. I left Terra e... for the TV series though, until it gets licensed.
Profile
*Race: Alien
*Alias: Masaya Aoyama and Blue Knight
*Japanese Alias Name: Ao no Kishi (蒼の騎士)
*Japanese Alias Name pronunciation: Ah-o-no-kee-shee
*Age: Unknown, but since he is an ancient spirit, a good estimate would be that he is over 1000 years old.
*Hair Color: Black
*Hair Color Length: Disputable; in the manga it is down to his feet but in the anime it's down to just below his knees. <br>
*Eye Color: Pale blue that glow red at times. The reason why his eyes glow red was never explained, but it could be anger related.
*Height: unknown
*Weight: unknown
*Blood Type: unknown
*Love Interest: He has no love interest stated in either the anime or manga. Some fans believe he's so vain it could be considered as loving himself. They most likely got this from his well-kept dress and form.

:::Looking over those links more closely, I get the impression that the 1994 release was only subtitled, while the 1995 release was, apart from being cropped to 4:3 format, dubbed in English. Snarfies, can you confirm these with regard to your copy?
Weapons and abilites
He wields the same sword as the Blue Knight. The design in the manga and anime is different, however.

:::On another note, I am really glad that a number of competent people are working on this article. :-) --Darkbane 18:46, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

LD has been scanned, you can find the results at http://www.otakubell.com/LDs/, under the "Domestic" section. You can feel free to use any image in the entire directory. The images in that directory are at half the size I scanned them at, so if you want an even larger image, let me know. In addition, if you want scans of any other disks, feel free to email a request (see my userpage). Since I have around 1,200 anime disks, it would be easier to just ask if I have something or not. The LD is hard-subbed - no dub track. Snarfies 02:26, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Voice Actress and Voice Actor
:Thanks a bunch. I'll work on resizing an uploading it for use here. --Darkbane 02:39, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
* In Tokyo Mew Mew, his seiyu is Megumi Ogata, who also voices Masaya Aoyama and the Blue Knight.
* In Mew Mew Power, his voice actor is Scottie Ray.

Trivia Audio CD
* Deep Blue's blast attack resembles Darth Sidious/Palpatine's Force lightning from Revenge of the Sith.
* He can only be revived by gathering a lot of Mew Aquas.
* Many fans believe that the Blue Knight and Deep Blue are one and the same. This would make sense, as the both are a part of Masaya, but the difference in their personalities makes this look unlikely.
*Though Deep Blue has no love interest in the manga or anime, many fanfic writers will pair Deep Blue with one of the Mew Mews.
*It is speculated that Deep Blue needs a host to obtain his true form, similar to how Soul Edge needs a host.
*Deep Blue's sworld has a small resemblence of one of Chai Xiangua's Extra Weapon "Northern Star" as well as Siegfried's weapon "Requiem" from Soulcalibur.

Found 〈ANIMEX 1200シリーズ〉(5) 交響組曲 地球(テラ)へ・・・ on Amazon Japan, seems to be an orchestral perfomance by Santora(sp?) and Da Capo, released in 2003. It should probably be added into the Media section if someone can figure out the exact title and artist names. Symphonic Suite "To Terra..."? --<font face="Copperplate Gothic Bold" size="2" color="000000">Darkbane</font> <font face="Copperplate Gothic Bold" color="000000">talk</font> 18:37, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

:(In a way I wonder how much information this article needs... Don't get me wrong, I love information and all that, but I've noticed a trend here on Wikipedia lately that peripheral and “clogged”/“condensed” information are removed. I think a good thing to do would be to write more running text, as to ease the reading for someone just interested in the series in general and not explicit data information. I don't know enough to do that myself though, as well that my English tends to confuse what I'm trying to tell.)

::Heh. Well about that, I was thinking of moving some of the text from the introduction down into the media section. The introduction right now is populated with information very densely, and most of that information should really be further down. It should be enough to just state the key points in the intro.

::Curiously enough, the problem I notice more often with many anime (and fantasy novels, too, among other things) articles is just the opposite - too detailed plot information, with literally paragraph upon paragraph of brain dumps, with little connecting syntax and little formatting.

::About your link (which is very cool btw ^_^) - from your explanation and the text itself, I take it this is the original soundtrack to the movie. So the CD I found is the same thing, part of this ANIMEX 1200 Series?

::On another note, the manga's first volume (in japan) has recently reached sales rank 40 on amazon.co.jp - quite a feat, though I'm not sure if we can somehow mention this with a dated reference in the media section.
