Andruw Rudolf Jones (born April 23, 1977, in Willemstad, Curaçao, in the Netherlands Antilles) is an outfielder in Major League Baseball.

I don't know if you're aware that a proposal (mine) to move this article to Llanfairpwllgwyngyll is being debated at the moment. As you raised the issue of the article title a few months ago, do you want to comment at all? --Blisco 19:12, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Proposed move of Alternative political spelling
Hi. I just noticed at Talk:Alternative political spelling#Proposed changes that, a while ago, you endorsed a move of that article to a more concise title. Apparently that proposal never went through, but I recently made a similar move proposal for the same article. I thought you might like to drop by the page and provide your input, since the issue's been re-opened. I'd be happy to discuss it if you have any particular questions. Thanks! &ndash;Sommers (Talk) 00:35, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
Jones has been a center fielder for the Atlanta Braves since 1996. He signed with the Braves organization as a free agent in 1993. Although Andruw developed into one of the greatest defensive center fielders of all time and an above average offensive player, the general feeling shared by many fans and critics until 2005 was that Jones had not lived up to the superstar expectations that made the Braves bring him up to the Major Leagues at the age of 19 in 1996. In the 2005 season, Jones experienced one of his most productive offensive seasons ever. Jones hit 51 home runs, surpassing Hank Aaron's and Eddie Mathews' single-season club record. He also led the National League with a career-high 128 RBI. Neither Brave has reached the 40-homer mark quicker than Jones, who got there in the season's 126th game. Eddie Mathews had set the mark in the 127th game of the 1953 season. He is expected to play for the Netherlands in the 2006 World Baseball Classic.

I don't know if people with red-green color blindness go around calling themselves that but I myself was looking for red-green colorblindness today and typed in red green. I was about to add it anew and saw that it had just been commmented out. There's probably other people who this would be helpful for. Savidan 01:27, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

In October 1996, Andruw Jones hit a HR in his first AB in the World Series against the New York Yankees, becoming the youngest player in Major League Baseball history to hit a home run in the post-season, passing Mickey Mantle who was 2 weeks shy of his 21st birthday when he hit a home run in the 1952 World Series.
Hello. There's a two-man edit war going on within this article at the moment. I'd like to see the debate widened again. Deb 16:33, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

I recently constructed an attempt at a more organized WikiProject Theoretical Linguistics open tasks template, but I haven't received any responses on the project talk page. If you could take a look at the test: todo and comment on it, I'd greatly appreciate any feedback or criticism! Hi. This article soesn't just relate to works, but other titles as well, e.g. names of ships, locomotives, etc. Therefore I've changed Wikipedia:Titles back to titles of things referred to, as this reflects the description within the linked article. I agree it should be "on", not "for". However if you feel it should be titles of works, feel free to change it back.&nbsp;&ndash; Tivedshambo<small> (talk)</small> 16:30, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
