Accessed 7 August 2016.</ref> Dopo aver lasciato la band, si riunì con i fratelli Kilgour dei Clean per formare nel 1983 una nuova band, [[The Clean|The Great Unwashed]],<ref name=":0" /> alla quale contribuì con quattro canzoni che aveva scritto per The Cartilage Family,{{cn}} contribuendo all'EP ''Singles'', pubblicato nel 1984.<ref name=":0" /> Successivamentee la bandche si esibì anche al [[John Peel|John Peel Show.]].<ref name="Hann">Hann, Michael.
