Trackmania is a great game but it needs to have at least an option so there is collision between cars. This would add to the gameplay greatly. 70.70.56.53

The Giant Clam (Tridacna gigas) or traditionally, pa’ua, is the largest living bivalve mollusc. One of a number of large clam species native to the shallow coral reefs of the South Pacific and Indian oceans, they can weigh more than 400 pounds and measure as much as 1.5 meters across.

Sessile in adulthood, the creature's mantle tissues act as a habitat for the symbiotic single-celled dinoflagellate algae from which it gets it nutrition. By day, the clam spreads out its mantle tissue so that the algae receive the sunlight they need to photosynthesize.

::Whether or not this is true or false (it's an opinion, so it's neither), this kind of thing isn't "information", so it shouldn't be (discussed) in Wikipedia. Please use the official forum for that. Retodon8 00:39, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
History
As is often the case with uncharacteristically large species, the giant clam has been historically misunderstood. Even reputable scientific and technical manuals once claimed that the great mollusk had caused deaths. In those days the Giant clam was also known as killer clam or man-eating clam. Versions of the U.S. Navy Diving Manual even gave detailed instructions for releasing oneself from its grasp by severing the adductor muscles used to close its shell.

More Info On The Community
Today, it is generally acknowledged that the giant clam is neither aggressive nor particularly dangerous; while it is certainly capable of holding one fast in its grip, the shell's closing action is actually a defensive response, and far too slow to pose any reasonable threat. No account of a human being trapped in this manner has ever been substantiated.
We need more info on the community of TrackMania. 82.18.183.86

:As a start: A couple of links to a TMN team called Death From Above (DFA) DFA's home page DFA's server's offline stats Sloth1974
Conservation status
The IUCN lists the giant clams as vulnerable. There is concern among conservationists for the sustainability of practices among those who use the animal as a source of livelihood. The numbers in the wild have been greatly reduced by extensive harvesting for food and aquarium trade. Illegal trade in giant clam shells for use as decorative accoutrements abounds, and the meat, called Himejako in Japan, is prized as a delicacy.

::Well why don't you write something then, but don't be so biased to DFA, lol 87.254.80.217

:It should be Deep Silver for the games released under the DS label, but it should remain Digital Jesters for the older games. Otherwise the article would simply be lying. Retodon8 00:39, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

because it is not true.

Even though the game was downloaded over six million times, the active userbase of the game has not been more than 10,000 simultanous users, not coming close to some of the actual most played online games of the world such as Counter-Strike, WarCraft III: The Frozen and StarCraft: Brood War which all have active userbases over five times that of trackmania nations at it's peak.Zerter 20:07, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
