"Terrance and Phillip in Not Without My Anus" is the 14th episode of Comedy Central's animated series South Park. It originally aired on April 1, 1998, and is a parody of the movie Not Without My Daughter. This was an April Fool special, in which the creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, deliberately confounded audience expectations which had been set up in a previous episode, that the identity of Cartman's father would be revealed.
Plot
This episode begins with a notice that although viewers have waited four weeks for the answer to the mystery "Who Is Cartman's Father," they're not going to get it. Instead is a presentation of "Not Without My Anus" starring Terrance and Phillip.
International Baccalaureate Program, established in 1993-94; Conflict Resolution/Peer mediation Program, established in 1994; Straight Superior ratings at Florida Bandmasters Association Marching Festival, 28 consecutive years; Attractor programs include Culinary Arts, Teaching Academy, and King's relationship with the University of South Florida as a Professional Development School.

The drama opens in a courtroom in Canada with Terrance on trial for the murder of Dr. Jeffrey O'Dwyer. Phillip is acting as his lawyer while Terrance and Phillip's sworn nemesis Scott is acting as the prosecution lawyer. Scott uses a group of airtight exhibits to prove Terrance's guilt but after a series of farts during the verdict reading Terrance is found not guilty. Upon hearing the verdict Scott promises to get Terrance and Phillip soon.

Terrance and Phillip return home where they enjoy some Kraft Dinner and dressing up as pirates. Terrance is interrupted by a courier who delivers a telegram informing him that his daughter Sally has been kidnapped in Iran. Terrance and Phillip both decide they will go to Iraq ("Iran? Iraq? What's the difference?") to rescue her but first must visit Celine Dion, who is revealed to be Sally's mother.
King High School is a traditional/hybrid magnet. It has one of the two (soon to be three) International Baccalaureate programs in Hillsborough County, Florida. The IB program at King began in July, 1994. Eighty-one percent of IB seniors earned the IB Diploma--one of the highest rates in the United States.

Terrance and Phillip head out to Tehran, where they manage to find Sally within a few seconds of landing and quickly head back home. Meanwhile back in Canada it is revealed that Scott has struck a deal with Saddam Hussein to take care of Terrance and Phillip for him in exchange for helping his troops begin an invasion of Canada. (The kidnapping of Sally in Tehran was orchestrated by Saddam in order that his troops could be smuggled back to Canada on the return flight.)
Its total student population is 2117. Attendance rate in 2005 was 92%.

Terrance and Phillip watch American satellite television in one scene. One of the programs they watch is the (fictitious) episode of South Park in which the identity of Cartman's father is revealed, but Terrance and Phillip are talking and the words are indistinct.
The Class of 2003 includes 21 National Merit Finalists. The current principal is Carla Bruning, who took over late in 2004. The Class of 2007 includes 24 National Merit semifinalists.

Terrance and Phillip are outraged by the changes they see in Canada upon their return. Scott, after realizing he has been double crossed by Saddam, visits Terrance and Phillip to tell them that they are to blame for his impending invasion and informs them that the only way to stop it is to suicide bomb him and his troops at the Roughriders vs. Rough Riders game. However they decide upon a different plan which will both get rid of Saddam once and for all and save them from certain death.
There has been some intense criticism of Mrs. Bruning's administration, including widespread discontent with her increasingly reactionary disciplinary actions. For example, in a now-well-known incident following a fire in a school bathroom, Mrs. Bruning responded by opening only a single school bathroom and later denying this action when questioned by an angry parent. Supporters respond that this was the only reasonable course of action to take. Another well-known policy of Bruning is her strict enforcement of school district rules, especially regarding playing cards. Critics suggest that instead of diverting school resources from confiscating playing cards, Bruning should instead focus her energies on keeping students safer and better-informed; some critics suggest that perhaps such a focus of attention might have diverted such a tragedy as the shooting of a King High School student in late 2005. Supporters respond that playing cards are, after all, a form of gambling.

Meanwhile, Celine Dion is now sleeping with, and has become pregnant by, a friend of Terrance and Phillip named Ugly Bob. He almost always wears a bag on his head, and despite the fact that under it he looks just like every other Canadian on South Park, people inexplicably scream in horror at the sight of him. In the words of Phillip, his face looks like "Somebody tried to put out a forest fire with a screwdriver." To consolidate his power, Saddam kidnaps Celine Dion to sing the Iraqi national anthem at the game.
Demographics
At the game, Saddam signals his intention to begin his hostile takeover of Canada and forces Celine Dion to begin singing the Iraqi anthem. Terrance and Phillip, who are sitting in the crowd, then prompt the fans (who each have an 'F' on their shirts) to put on gas masks and fart in unison. Eventually Saddam and his troops are overpowered by the gas and die. They are then disemboweled by the crowd, which finally celebrates its freedom with a rendition of the Canadian national anthem.
In C. Leon King High School, there are a total of 2117 students. The racial make up is 0.33% Native American, 7.89% Asian Pacific Islander, 37.13% Black, 15.16% Hispanic, 3.97% Multi Racial, 35.52% White, and 0.00% Other. Of these students, 35.14% are Economically Disadvantaged, 5.48% LEP, AND 14.74% SWD.

Critical Response
The percentage of students who scored at or above Level 3 in FCAT reading for the 2004-05 school year was 38.1% for total students. The subgroups scoring above 50% are: Indians, White, Multiracial and Native American students. The groups scoring below 25% are: Black, Hispanic, LEP (Limited English Proficiency), and SWD (Students With Disabilities) students.
Many expected this episode to answer the season ending cliffhanger about Cartman's father. Instead, the creators created this episode as an April Fool's Day joke. Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the creators, mistakenly assumed that no one would be actually interested in seeing who Cartman's father is, and thought the fans would appreciate the joke.

On the contrary, the episode prompted an angry response to Comedy Central. Comedy Central then forced the creators to produce the episode Cartman's Mom is Still a Dirty Slut unusually quickly.
The percentage of students scoring at or above a Level 3 in Mathematics on the 2005 FCAT was 71%. 83% of the White subgroup scored at or above a Level 3. This is significantly higher than the Black subgroup that had 35% scoring at or above a Level 3 and 57% of the Hispanic population scoring at or above a Level 3. 30% of the LEP population and 39% of the SWD subgroup scored at or above a Level 3. The percentage of students passing Algebra 1 was only 66% during the 2004-2005 school year.

This episode is considered one of the worst episodes of South Park, particularly by fans who watched its initial premiere.

*The King High School orchestral program has experienced great success in the last few years, and received a superior rating this year under a new director. Although the new director has received intense criticism, The King Orchestra has maintained their status as the county's top orchestra program, after Brandon High, and was one of few schools in the state to receive straight superiors at State MPA.
* The storyline is loosely based on Not Without My Daughter starring Sally Field. The title is also taken from that movie.
* One conversation between Scott and Saddam references Star Wars Episode V. When Scott asks why Saddam didn't keep to his side of the deal, Saddam reacts like Darth Vader does by saying: "I changed my mind, pray that I don't change it any further." Scott then reacts like Lando Calrissian by saying: "This deal is getting worse all the time."
* For reasons not stated disclosed by the creators, the Iraquis/Iranians are portrayed in the same style as Canadians. Saddam also speaks in a Canadian accent.
* The Canadian football game is between the Ottawa Roughriders and the Vancouver Roughriders. This is a parody of the Canadian Football League having two teams called the Roughriders until 1996. The Ottawa Rough-Riders existed when this episode first aired, but disbanded in 1999.However, the Vancouver team is the Lions of British Columbia. The one Roughriders team that still exists is the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
