==Biography==

This was the season finale of the second season, and was to be the final episode of [[Dexter's Lab]]. But for whatever reason the series was brought back more than a year later. After being brought back, it was produced by [[Cartoon Network]] and no longer produced by [[Hanna-Barbera]].

Pauly and his brothers Scott and Peter are the sons of Sammy and [[Mitzi Shore]], who founded the legendary [[Los Angeles, California|Los Angeles]] [[comedy club]], [[The Comedy Store]]. He grew up in [[Beverly Hills]] and graduated from [[Beverly Hills High School]] in 1986. {{Fact|date=May 2007}}

Shore began his career in [[Stand-up comedy|stand-up]] and a few bit parts in several late-1980s movies. His big break came when he became an [[MTV]] host, along side Jeff Leiber, a position he held from 1989-1994. Pauly had his own show, ''Totally Pauly,'' and served as a traveling ambassador, most memorably on MTV's annual Spring Break parties. At his first Spring Break gig, he began using his catchphrase, "weasel." His first comedy album, 1991's ''The Future of America,'' was named Best Comedy Album by the College Music Journalists. The album paved the way for Shore's subsequent releases, ''Scraps from the Future'' and ''Pink Diggly Diggly.'' {{Fact|date=June 2007}}

Many fans believe it was a poor decision to bring Dexter back under it's new production; the new episodes lacked quality in the opinion of most viewers.

Shore's first film, the critically panned [[cult film]] ''[[Encino Man]]'' ([[1992 in film|1992]]), garnered him a [[Golden Raspberry Awards|Golden Raspberry Award]] for his performance, largely because Shore was unabashedly not acting - his character uncannily resembled his MTV persona. The movie was remarkably popular, and Shore parlayed it into several other films: ''[[Son In Law]]'' (nominated for an [[MTV Movie Awards 1994|MTV Movie Award]]), ''[[In the Army Now]],'' [[1995 in film|1995]] Razzie winner ''[[Jury Duty (film)|Jury Duty]],'' and [[1996 in film|1996]] Razzie winner ''[[Bio-Dome]].'' This was the final episode to be produced by [[Hanna-Barbara]] and it was the only full half-hour long episode.

It was also the only episode to include the entire [[Dexter's Lab]] cast, [[Monkey]] cast, and [[Justice Friends]] cast.

In 2000 he won the Razzie award for "Worst New Star of the Decade", but lost "Worst Actor of the Century" to [[Sylvester Stallone]]. By that time, though, Shore had fully retreated to smaller movie roles, and a "weasel"-free stand-up routine. {{Fact|date=June 2007}}

== Plot ==

Dexter goes to Japan as foreign exchange student, while his family is host to the young Japanese boy, Toshi. On his first day at school, Dexter tries to impress some of the other children with his inventions, but they are unfazed; they too have power suits and giant robots.

As the game of one-upmanship increases, Dexter inadvertently awakens the giant monster known as Badaxtra from his volcanic hibernation, putting the whole world in danger.

He attempted a comeback with the star-studded, autobiographical independent [[mockumentary]] called ''[[Pauly Shore Is Dead]]'', which went to video on [[January 25]], [[2005]], after a small theatrical run. The film garnered critical praise and was positively received by fans, quickly developing a cult following. {{Fact|date=June 2007}}

G.L.O.B.A.L. and the entire team of Justice Friends are unable to stop the monster, so it's up to Dexter.

Also in 2005, Shore had a reality show on [[TBS (TV Network)|TBS]] titled ''[[Minding the Store]]''. The series followed Shore as he took control of the Comedy Store and attempted to revitalize it. In a [[CNN]] article to promote the show, Shore admitted that he is a recovering [[sex addict]] and currently seeing a therapist, and that he allowed some of his therapy sessions to be taped for the show. Shore also said that if anyone did not laugh while viewing the show, they would receive a dollar. The individual simply had to mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Shore, care of TBS, and would in turn receive a dollar bill. <ref>http://www.realitytvmagazine.com/blog/2005/07/pauly_shore_off.html#more</ref> This deal was only open to the first 250,000 people, and it is unknown if anyone ever did receive a dollar. The show was canceled after ten episodes.

Dexter returns home to think of a plan for stopping the moster. To stop Badaxtra, he realizes that he must use his most powerful robot ever. One that must be controlled by four people to function correctly, so Dexter needs the help of Dee Dee and his parents. Thusly, he is forced to reveal his secret laboratory to his parents.

The four, with the help of Monkey, and a secret told to them by Toshi are finally able to defeat Badaxtra. In the battle Monkey's true identity is revealed.

Afterwards, Dexter blanks his parents memory, so that they forget about his lab. Monkey then blanks Dexter's memory, so that Dexter can't remember the identity of Monkey... All of this confusion leads to Mandark believing that he saved the world. And the only one who knows the truth is Dee Dee.
