The '''New York Senate election of 2006''' will be held on [[November 7]], [[2006]]. Whoever is elected will serve from [[January 3]], [[2007]] to January 3, [[2013]]. The incumbent [[Democratic Party (United States)|Democratic]] Senator, [[Hillary Rodham Clinton|Hillary Clinton]], currently leads her many [[Republican Party (United States)|Republican]] challengers.
 
On [[August 10]], [[2005]] Jeanine Pirro announced her candidacy for the Republican nomination for United States Senate in 2006 in New York City. During her live televised announcement, she paused for more than thirty seconds looking for a missing part of her speech, asking "Do I have page 10?"
