Esordisce nel wrestling professionistico il 25 ottobre 2009 con il ring name di Austin Morrison nella New Wave Pro Wrestling.

Nel 2011 lotta in vari circuiti indipendenti della [[National Wrestling Alliance]] sotto il nome di "W". Insieme al suo compagno "M" faceva parte della stable The Disorder.

Nel 2012, Matelson firma un contratto di sviluppo con la WWE e viene mandato in FCW per allenarsi. Qui assume il ring name di '''Judas Devlin'''. Debutta il 1º agosto a Bull Bash VI, in coppia con [[Corey Graves]], sconfiggendo [[Ryan Nemeth|Briley Pierce]] e [[Juice Robinson|CJ Parker]].

Dall'agosto 2012, la FCW chiude e i talenti vengono tutti spostati ad [[WWE NXT|NXT]]. Fa il suo debutto assieme a [[Scott Dawson]] perdendo contro [[Neville (wrestler)|Adrian Neville]]. Viene rilasciato nel 2014 dopo una grave infortunio alla colonna vertebrale.
