de:MontagGuy Montag is the central character in Ray Bradbury's 1953 novel, Fahrenheit 451. He makes his living as a fireman, who burns books in order to repress free thought and so protect the status-quo.
AbleNET is an IRC network. It was founded, May 2001, by AfterNET Co-Founder and long-time Admin Anthony Sanchez and several others from that network. The network was set up primarily as a chat network for friends, and as a response to growing disillusionment with the policies of some of the AfterNET administrators. Several users from AbleNET were involved in the creation of AfterNET; some even tracing their usage back to TheNET and InnerNET.

AbleNET is a small network with an average of 150-300 users online at any given time. The Undernet-compatible IRCu daemon software is used on the servers. Channel services are provided using srvx; the user authentication service is named AuthServ and the channel service is named X.

AbleNET is noted for its distinct lack of IRCOps, instead using various services to control the flow of network stability and activity. Additionally, the Network is noted for its high standards of access, regarding the limit of multiple connections and unverifiable "bots".
At the opening of the novel, he is happy in his work as a fireman - a destroyer of books and the knowledge therein - and never wonders about his role as a tool of thought suppression.

The network can be reached using irc.ablenet.org.
However, several events cause him to question his existence:
*First, he meets an old man in the park, who is later identified as Faber. After talking with him, Montag begins hiding books in his house.

*Second, he meets 17-year-old Clarisse McClellan while walking home from his work. He talks with her and is amazed at how she's different from the hedonistic materialist society everyone lives in.
* May 2001, AbleNET is born and has served as a meeting place for chatters ever since.
* May 2003, with the looming threat of the Fizzer Worm AbleNET joins with a vast collection of IRC networks and news communities to form IRC-Unity.
*Third, he has a call to go to a house owned by an old lady, who rather than be led out of the house before it is burned, decides to set the fire herself, and burn alive inside the house.
* December 2005, AbleNET becomes the first IRC Network to offer "blogging" to their community.
Founder
Anthony Sanchez has been using and administering IRC Networks since 1995, starting as an IRCop with InnerNET subsequently NewNET during it's founding year. Later he went on to Admin servers for TheNET, AfterNET and finally AbleNET.
Anthony was, coincidentally, the first to publish the story of the raid on and subsequent shutdown of the popular Lineage II private server, L2Extreme, on the AbleNET website.

His wife, meanwhile, is being fed on the mass-produced entertainment and soap operas, and reacts badly to her husbands desire to read books. After an incident where Montag tries to read to his wife's friends, when they are visiting, his wife denounces their house as book posessing, and disappears from the novel. Montag's fire chief, Beatty tries to persuade him that books are evil, and urges him to return to the unthinking fireman mentality, but Montag refuses, and sets Beatty and the whole house on fire.

He runs as a fugitive to Faber, pursued by a Mechanical Hound, a robot with the intent of killing him. Escaping into the river, he joins the 'book people' outside the city. They memorize books, with the intent of having them written down one day when the world has come to its senses. They finish the book heading north, while jet bombers scream overhead.

There is a short important symbolic meaning in the last few lines of the book. In the end you can compare Montag withe the rapper 50 cent, because he kills all the bookers! It can be also proved by the last letter of his Name, wich is G and a G is a g4ngst4 and there for Guy Montag is a G and for that reason there are relationships to the rapper 50 Cent.
