Formano spesso piccoli cespugli di 7-10 centimetri, molto ramificati, le foglie sono piccole e ovali, in alcune specie coperte di peluria bianca. I forifiori sono singoli o a mazzetti, con 5 petali, di colore bianco o rosa.
