==Career==
At an early age he and his sister, Autumn, began making up songs, plays, and commercials and performing for family and friends. He attended Logan-Rogersville elementary and middle school. In sixth grade he caught the acting bug after his first performance as Colin in the high school's production of The Secret Garden. His first major role at the Springfield Little Theatre was as the Artful Dodger in Oliver. Lucas continued to perform on a regular basis at the theatre and was in 8 productions before graduating from high school. He was an active member of the theatre's young performing troupe, Y.E.S. Troupe for five years. During this time, he also taught classes in the theatre ranging from dance to acting and improvisation to all ages.Lucas played leading roles in many high school musicals, productions, operas, music contests, speech and debate, played drums for a local church, initiated a men's a cappella singing group at Kickapoo High school, as well as attending the Missouri Fine Arts Academy. Lucas also went to Guatemala on an annual basis with his family as a part of a mission's team for six years. In 2003, after graduating from High School, he moved to LA to pursue his dream. Lucas met his manager, Robert C. Thompson, while standing in line at a mall to buy a smoothie. Within a week he had an agent, within 3 weeks his first commercial and within 9 months, his first [[Disney Channel]] movie, Halloweentown High. In spring of 2004, he was cast in a pilot for the [[WB]] entitled Halley's Comet. Soon after finding out that the show was not going to be picked up he was cast in another Disney Channel original movie, High School Musical. When he returned home from shooting in Salt Lake City, he landed a guest starring role on ABC's Boston Legal and a reoccurring role on UPN's Veronica Mars. Lucas contributes his success to setting goals early in life and always believing that if it can be dreamed, it can be reached.

He has a few friends that are actors but most of my friends are artists, but in different fields i.e. dancers, painters, writers...
He knew a lot of people growing up that were a lot like his character, Ryan, but he is not like him very much.
