'''PRIDE 2''' was a [[mixed martial arts]] event held by [[PRIDE|KRS-PRIDE]] (later renamed PRIDE Fighting Championships). It took place at [[Yokohama Arena]] in [[Yokohama]], [[Japan]] on March 15, 1998. Kazushi Sakuraba, Mark Kerr, Vernon White, and Marco Ruas all made their PRIDE debuts at this event.

''Reborn!'' is about a boy, Tsunayoshi "Tsuna" Sawada, who is chosen to become a [[mafia]] [[Crime boss|boss]]. Tsuna unwillingly undergoes training from Reborn, an assassin from [[Italy]]. Timoteo a.k.a. "Vongola IX," the head of the Vongola Famiglia ("Famiglia" is "[[family]]" in [[Italian language|Italian]]), sent Reborn to train Tsuna; the first Vongola boss moved to [[Japan]], and Tsuna was his great-great-great grandson; the other candidates for the position of the head of the Vongola family died. Enrico, who was the leading candidate to become "Vongola X", died in a gun battle. Massimo, the second, "sleeps with the fishes." Federico, the favored son, was found as a pile of bones. For these reasons, Tsuna is the only remaining heir.

== Results ==

Reborn's main instrument of choice in teaching Tsuna is the Deathperation Shot ('dying will bullet' in the Japanese versions) which will make the person be "reborn" as a stronger self intent on fulfilling his dying will.

* '''Tsunayoshi "Tsuna" Sawada''' (沢田綱吉 ''Sawada Tsunayoshi'', ツナ ''Tsuna'') - Tsuna is a junior-high student and an unwilling mob-boss-in-training. The reason Tsuna was recruited was because the first Vongola boss moved to [[Japan]]. Tsuna is his great-great-great grandson. The other candidates for the position of the head of the Vongola family died. Before Reborn finds Tsuna, Tsuna is known as "'''Loser Tsuna'''" for his poor grades and bad luck. When shot with Reborn's gun, Tsuna would normally die, but since he has not completed his goals in life (i.e. tell Kyoko Sasagawa that he loves her), so he comes back as a powerful mostly-naked warrior with a flame on his forehead and blanked out eyes (his boxers somehow survive). After five minutes, he turns back into normal Tsuna.

* '''Reborn''' (リボーン ''Rebōn'') - The impish hitman who drags Tsuna into becoming a mob boss. The head of the Vongola Famiglia sent Reborn to train Tsuna. He is Vongola IX's most trusted hitman. He behaves as a seasoned mafioso, despite his age: one year old. When at Tsuna's school, Reborn usually hides in the fire extinguisher cabinet. Reborn uses "Ciao-su" (a mix of the Italian "ciao" and the [[Japanese language|Japanese]] "osu", which is a casual male greeting equivalent to the [[English language|English]] "[[Yo]]!" or "[[Wassup]]!") He appears to see nothing unusual in any of his own behavior.

* '''Hayato Gokudera''' (獄寺隼人 ''Gokudera Hayato'') - A transfer student to Tsuna's class. Hayato, who had previously studied in [[Italy]], is a dynamite expert nicknamed "Smokin' Bomb Hayato," keeps various explosives hidden on his person, and uses those explosives liberally by lighting them with a cigarette (or several) held in his mouth. Hayato tests Tsuna's worthiness for becoming the heir to the Vongola Famiglia. Gokudera becomes the first member of Tsuna's "family" after Tsuna uses deathperation to save both of them from Gokudera's wayward dynamite. After this, Gokudera becomes fiercely loyal to Tsuna, refers to him as "boss," and admires Tsuna to the point of extremes.

* '''Bianchi''' (ビアンキ ''Bianki'') Hayato's half-sister; her assassin specialty is her poison cooking I and II. Apparently in love with Reborn, and wants to kill Tsuna to free up Reborn's schedule.

* '''Takeshi Yamamoto''' (山本武 ''Yamamoto Takeshi'') - Takeshi, a seventh-grader, is the popular [[baseball]] star of Tsuna's school. He becomes friends with Tsuna, and Reborn tries to recruit him into the Vongola Famiglia. He hardly takes anything seriously, and is often "tricked" by Reborn because he thinks that "It's a game". His reflexes are unreasonably good, as is his level of oblivion. He thinks the various weapons and dangerous objects he sees Reborn and others use on a regular basis are just really advances kid's toys.

* '''Kyoko Sasagawa''' (笹川京子 ''Sasagawa Kyōko'') - The girl that Tsuna admires. She's somewhat air headed (She didn't question the idea of an infant being in the Mafia and thought that was cool, and like Yamamoto probably thinks it's all just a game like "Cops and Robbers"). She is also the second person to take the Deathperation Shot in the series; her form is more quiet and polite (Yet she'll still break things to prove her point).

* '''Ryohei Sasagawa''' (笹川了平 ''Sasagawa Ryōhei'') - Kyoko's older brother who is obssessed with boxing. He is the third to take the Deathperation Shot, but it has no effect on him since he always lives "to the limit," and is therefore Deathperate constantly. Wants to recruit Tsuna to the boxing club. (And in response, Reborn wants to recruit him into the family)

* '''Leon''' (レオン ''Reon'') - Reborn's [[chameleon]] companion, who sits on Reborn's [[Fedora (hat)|fedora]]. He can change shape and color as per Reborn's desire, provided he is familiar with the object he will turn into and the object is roughly his size.

* '''Lambo''' (ランボ ''Ranbo'') - A 5-year-old assassin affiliated with the Bovino Famiglia who comes to [[Japan]] to kill Reborn, to prove that he is worthy of becoming his own family's boss. A complete crybaby, and also less than a match for Reborn, even as a fifteen-year-old. He possesses the ten-year cannon, which switches the target with him or her self ten years in the future for five minutes. When Lambo uses it on himself, he switches with his 15-year-old self (he ditches his cowsuit at this age, and often has one eye closed). But once Bianchi sees the "Adult Lambo", she starts to try killing him, because he looks exactly like her ex-boyfriend, Romeo. "Bovino" means "[[cow]]" in Italian. His favorite foods are grapes and hard candies.

* '''I-pin''' (イーピン ''Īpin'') - I-pin is an assassin from Hong Kong, and speaks in nothing but Chinese. Even though this 5-year-old little girl can't speak Japanese, the 15-year-old "Adult I-pin" eventually enters a Japanese College, and despite the fact that she is one of the most promising young assassins, she will work part-time at a Chinese Restaurant ten years later. She has a crush on Kyoya Hibari, who looks like her teacher.

* '''Kyoya Hibari''' (雲雀恭弥 ''Hibari Kyōya'') - Hibari is the leader of the Discipline Committee. Even so, he is a violent delinquent who likes being alone. If he is amongst a crowd, he tends to play violent "games" with rules like "I'll kill anyone who wakes me up when I'm sleeping", and as mentioned, the loser often has to pay the price with his life. Hibari may be a violent and cruel person at times, but he is very proud of his school, and is apparently the only person who likes their school's song, even using it as his ringtone.

* '''Haru Miura''' (三浦ハル ''Miura Haru'') - The girl who likes Tsuna, she attends Midori Middle School, "one of the toughest elite schools to get into" in the area.

* '''Nana Sawada''' (沢田奈々 ''Sawada Nana'') - Tsuna's mother. She has fairly little belief in her son succeeding in life (examples: doesn't expect him to get into a good college, an outburt claiming that her son is a loser and that she's eternally grateful for Kyoko wanting to be his girlfriend despite how pathetic he is in her eyes, and many others)

Gracie defeated Kikuta by submission (guillotine choke) at :43 round 6.

The term "Deathperation Shot" actually applies to the effect if the Vongola magical bullet strikes the user in the forehead. If the bullet is shot anywhere else, a different name and effect takes place.

The target is filled with grief about their dying wish and is instantly revitalized with temporary increased strength, speed, energy, and courage. When the effect is done, the person is returned to normal as if they were never shot (albeit they are in their undergarments as a result) Used on: Tsuna, Kyoko, Ryohei, Haru

* '''Leg''' This creates the "Jump Shop". The target's legs become super strong and allow the user to leap at superhuman heights. Used on: Tsuna

* '''Arm''' The effect created is the "Megaton Shot". The target's arm becomes super strong to the point they can crack the ground with a single punch. Used on: Tsuna

* '''Spine''' When shot here, it is called "Heatproof Skin Shot". This makes the user's skin able to resist fire and explosions. Used on: Tsuna

* '''Scalp''' When the bullet is shot here, it is called "The Spring Shot". The target forms a giant hair out of the top of their head that can be used to spring them off the ground in situations such as falling. Used on: Tsuna

* '''Belly Button''' Shot here, the bullet becomes "Iron Stomach Shot". The target's stomach is able to safely eat anything, even if its poisoned. Used on: Tsuna

* '''Heel''' When the heels are shot, the effect created is called, "The Foot Propeller Shot". The target's feet can spin 360 degrees like a propeller, allowing them to swiftly move through water. Used on: Tsuna

* '''Cheeks''' When both cheeks are shot, the magical bullet causes them both to swell to a huge size as the effect is "Niramekko Shot". Nirameko is a staring game in Japan where both players try to make each other laugh and the loser is the one who laughs first. Used on: Tsuna
