Please see [[Talk:U.S. presidential election, 2004#Minnesota "faithless elector"]] for debate on your recent edit. For the record I'm neither a Democrat nor a Republican, as if you look at my user page I am based in the UK. Also, it's considered bad form to remove anything from your user talk page, because it's part of the historical record of compiling the Wikipedia. [[User:Dbiv|Dbiv]] 13:05, 24 Jan 2005 (UTC)
== Bob Dole ==
I don't know how they did it in Oklahoma. But believe it or not, during the 1996 Presidential election, several liberal publications in the South-East referred to Bob Dole as "Dead-Hand Dole." There were even campaign signs about "Dead Hand Dole" in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina (that I saw personally). And while I do not have the exact quote, during an interview in 1995, he rebuffed the nickname - claiming it to be nothing more than liberals trying to portray him as weak due to a disability (and a WAR INJURY at that). I am a fan of Bob Dole, and found it surprising that this was not mentioned in the article. As you clearly were isolated from these South-eastern political attacks, perhaps you should leave the "BS" you know nothing about be. - Hanrendar
