Pennsbury High School is a public high school located in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. Between 2002 and 2005, the student population of the school was divided between two buildings, the East and West campuses. As of the 2005/2006 school year, the campuses were united and students travel between the buildings by way of walking or a shuttle bus for classes each day. Every year the school graduates about 800 students. Of those graduating, 58.5% will continue their education at a 4 year college, 31% at a 2 year college, and 3% in the military. Pennsbury's dropout rate is 0.5%.
In 2002, one of Pennsbury's traditions caught the attention of Sports Illustrated writer Michael Bamberger. The school holds its senior prom at the school building, and students, parents, and faculty spend months preparing decorations for the event. The students arrive to small bleachers full of local families who gather to watch the parade of inventive vehicles and their dressed-up occupants. Ambulances, hearses, trolleys, classic cars, parade-like floats, Zamboni Machines, and shopping carts are employed by students who want to arrive at the prom in style.
After writing an article for the magazine about the 2002 prom, Bamberger went on to write a book, Wonderland: A Year in the Life of an American High School, which chronicles the senior year of a group of Pennsbury students. The rights for the book were bought by MTV to make a TV movie, however, it is unknown whether or not they are going to go through it. One of these students spent his senior year trying to invite John Mayer to perform at the senior prom. On prom night, May 16, 2004, the singer performed a 3 song set for the ecstatic students. Mayer followed in the footsteps of multi-platinum bands like Eve 6 and Maroon 5, who performed special acoustic shows at Pennsbury in 2003.

On January 12, 2007 a bus hit several students as they were leaving the high school. The bus then went on for about another half mile, hitting students in its path before finally crashing into a retaining wall. 17 students were transported to hospitals 14 were run over, 3 were injured when the bus hit the wall. most of the students are in good condition, but one girl was transported to Childrens hospital of Philadelphia from St. Mary's Medical center because she was in Critical condition. The bus driver appeared to have suffered no medical problems, and was preparing to talk to police. The accident occurred at about 2:20 PM EST as students were leaving the school.
Dustin Kind, one of the injured students had a quite interesting story, as he had the wits and the gull to lay flat on his back under the bus, as it vertically passed over him
