'''Bureaucrat Statement'''<BR>
Hi and welcome to Wikipedia! Great job on updating my psytrance music stubs, we need all the help we can get. :) Just one thing ... I see you created separate articles for [[Juan Verdera]] and [[The Muses Rapt]], but they contain the same information. In cases like this you would probably want to redirect one of the articles to the other (see [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Redirect]). Once again, good job on the articles and the images! - [[User:Ld|Ld]] | [[User_talk:Ld|talk]] 17:00, 8 Jan 2005 (UTC)
[[User:Raul654|Raul654]] and I have assented to nullify the old vote on Weyes and start this as a new nomination, without prejudice. The reason for this action is that there were considerations of voting irregularities that tainted the earlier vote so that it was impractical to properly determine consensus, even with extensions. By "without prejudice," I mean that we are making no judgment whatever on the quality of Weyes' nomination or Weyes as user, and voters should '''not''' take this restarting of the vote as any commentary for or against the candidacy itself. '''Please''' look at this candidacy fresh. '''If you voted before, you must vote again for your vote to count.''' The original candidate statement and the candidate's original responses to the questions follow. Ok, fine, I give up. A few days ago [[User:Jfdwolff|Jfdwolff]] was kind enough to [[Wikipedia:Requests_for_adminship/Weyes2|nominate me]] for adminship, but I turned it down as I wasn't sure I wanted to commit myself that much. However it would appear that today one of the drains under the information superhighway burst and leaked large amounts of virtual sewage onto Recent Changes, which made it very hard to keep up; if the community approves I guess I'd like that mop you offered me after all. I hope you'll allow me to bend the rules a little and renominate myself so shortly after my previous RfA. --[[User:Weyes|W]]([[User talk:Weyes|t]]) 18:18, 2005 Jun 13 (UTC)

#'''Oppose''' because I still do not trust this candidate's judgement despite the support now and earlier by people whose opinions I respect. I note that Weyes' edit summaries have become more explanatory and I appreciate that. I also admire the good humour which he has displayed throughout this battering process. I remain concerned, however, about Weyes' tendency to remove external links wholesale and the apparent lack of doubt or reconsideration when the invalidity of a link is questioned. Similarly potentially misleading oversimplification in debate worries me. All this was covered in the [[Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Weyes2|previous vote]] so I will not rehash details here. I still see Weyes as a valuable industrious editor but I do not feel comfortable handing the delete button to someone with these behavioural patterns. I would be happy to support a renomination after a few months of demonstrated discussion before wholesale reversions, informative accurate edit summaries, accurate argument, and consistent courtesy.—[[User:TheoClarke|Theo ]] [[User_talk:TheoClarke|(Talk)]] 08:50, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)

:'''1.''' What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? (Please read the page about [[Wikipedia:administrators|administrators]] and the [[Wikipedia:administrators' reading list|administrators' reading list]].)
::'''A'''. I mainly expect to be doing RC patrol, it's kind of relaxing and you can stop and start at any time you want, which works for me. I don't think I'll become a regular maintainance page handler (like VfD, TfD, CfD, Copyvio), though I might help out incidentally if there's a large backlog to clear or something (and I should point out that I think the people that do this are doing a wonderful task at keeping Wikipedia running and are the true unsung heroes of Wikipedia).
:'''2.''' Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
::'''A'''. I haven't made any major contributions to articles (I'm not good with prose, as the metaphor above amply demonstrates), but I do think [[WP:AIV]] is becoming a useful tool to complement [[WP:VIP]].
== Another FIRSTer: Cool ==
:'''3.''' Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
::'''A'''. The most annoying conflict so far has been the one over the cleaning up of external links and what is and isn't appropriate (please join in the discussion [[WP:VPP#Wikipedia:External_links|here]]), however as with most of what I do there's no long ongoing discussion and working out compromises to be done, I can take a day off wikipedia without inconveniencing cocontributors and go play outside instead. Usually, when I come back the next day things seem a lot less important.

Hi. I see that you're in quite a few user categories. Just a note that links in the category articles are sorted based on the ''full'' name of an article, which in your case is <tt>User:Vorash</tt>. But I do believe we want them sorted based on the user names alone. If you change those links to the piped form, e.g.
<nowiki>[[Category:Wikipedian musicians|Vorash]]</nowiki>
then the string "Vorash" becomes the sort key. Thanks. [[User:Ddawson|Ddawson]] 16:31, 9 Apr 2005 (UTC)

== Cats ==
Hi, thanks for your input on the CfD page regarding the P2P cats. I have now migrated all the former articles categorized under P2P to the new cats you created, "File sharing networks" and File sharing programs".
One thing that I have noticed is that a number of Java programs, such as LimeWare, are categorized as "Free {Windows|Mac|Linux} programs. It seems to me that they should not be categorized as such but as "Free Java programs" (or not "free" as they case may be). What do you think? Is this worth changing? -- [[User:Viajero|Viajero]] | [[User_talk:Viajero|Talk]] 16:01, 31 May 2005 (UTC)
Hmm....I see on download.com that LimeWire 4.8 for Mac OS X and LimeWire 4.8 for Windows are totally different programs even so they both use JAva and were released in a same day. LimeWire 4.8 for Mac OS X size: 4.88MB, LimeWire 4.8 Windows size: 2.33MB. [http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0.html?qt=lime+wire&tg=dl-20 Link]......so maybe in theory programs for Java should be the same , but in practice every platform has different version. [[User:Vorash|Vorash]] 16:42, 31 May 2005 (UTC)
:If you look more closely at each package, you will see that the central .jar file and related Java files are the same, only the (platform dependent) install program is different, hence the variation in file size. -- [[User:Viajero|Viajero]] | [[User_talk:Viajero|Talk]] 18:39, 31 May 2005 (UTC)
well i don't have a MAc so i don't know how exactly i can check this, since i can't install MAc version on PC.......in any case if you say that jar files are the same ,so probably installers are different because each of them install different version of JAva Virtual Machine. I also don't understand what do you mean in writing "It is written in Java, and hence runs on any computer with Java installed." Do you really expect from average user actually to take this Jar package and to install it by hand on other computer ? [[User:Vorash|Vorash]] 19:08, 31 May 2005 (UTC)
:Yes, exactly. When I was running OS/2 (before switching to Linux) I used to download the Solaris package; it was just a .tar file with the .jar file and a few config files. I unpacked it and then ran ''java --jarfile LimeWire.jar'' and that was that. LimeWire started up. In theory, that will work on any machine with Java installed. Of course, naturally it is easier for most users to download OS-specific packages which include an install program. The Linux RPM just copies the LimeWire installation to /usr/lib and puts a startup file in /usr/bin, but it is based on the very same .jar file as any other package.
:Also, keep in mind: the LimeWire packages ''do not'' include Java; users have to install that first by themselves if it is not included in their OS.
:So, you see, my text ''It is written in Java, and hence runs on any computer with Java installed.'' is quite correct. It is simply that LimeWire devs have only written installers for Win, Mac, and Linux. HTH, -- [[User:Viajero|Viajero]] | [[User_talk:Viajero|Talk]] 13:54, 1 Jun 2005 (UTC)
::I am 99% certain you are wrong about the LimeWire install packages installing an OS-specific JVM, but I have written to the devs and hope to clear this up for certain. -- [[User:Viajero|Viajero]] | [[User_talk:Viajero|Talk]] 16:21, 1 Jun 2005 (UTC)

:::: It doesn't install any Java JRE FULL 15-20mb package. I downloaded Limewire and it installed basic "J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 1" which size is aproximatly 1mb (when compressed). I also uninstalled both java and Limewire (it also deleted "Java" directory), and installed LimeWire again to be 100% sure. And again after LimeWire instalation it installs "J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 1". YOu also don't need my opinion !! YOu can uninstall Java on your computer , to download LimeWire installation and to see by yourself how it istalls JAva!![[User:Vorash|Vorash]] 17:47, 1 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I will restore now all facts that you added including "Guiness book" but we should try to keep this list as short as possible, otherwise it will be moved to separate page . [[User:Vorash|Vorash]] 20:35, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)
We also don't know for sure who is the biggest selling female music artist. See more ditails here [[Biggest-selling female musician]]. [[User:Vorash|Vorash]] 21:47, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)
==making music==
Hey, I saw your listed on Wikipedian-musicians. What kind of stuff do you make and what do you use to create it? If you can send me an mp3 that would be cool too. I try to make some music when I have time, using Reason. - [[User:Milk|Milk]] 01:14, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
