Taking their name from the work of Friedrich Nietzsche, Will To Power was a dance music trio from Florida headed by producer and club DJ Bob Rosenberg. Additional members were Dr. J and Maria Mendez. Beginning in 1987 they began having hits on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart, including two #1's: 1988's "Say It's Gonna Rain" and "Fading Away" in 1989. Their debut album contained all of their early club hits and ironically, it was a ballad tacked onto the album that became their most successful single. Their medley of Peter Frampton's song "Baby, I Love Your Way" and Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Freebird" went to #1 on the Hot 100 in 1988.
