i've read that joe elliott played in various bands before def leppard, not all of them as a singer, but i'm pretty sure these were garage band type bands. they all probably played covers of other peoples' songs.

'''SuperTux''' is a classic 2D jump and run game inspired by the [[Nintendo]] [[Super Mario Bros.|Super Mario]] series, originally created by Bill Kendrick and currently maintained by the SuperTux Delevopment Team.
Instead of [[Mario]], the hero in this game is the [[Linux]] [[mascot]] [[Tux]]. Many of the in-game graphics were created by [[Ingo Ruhnke]], creator of [[Pingus]].
Version 0.0.4 of SuperTux was released in [[April]] [[2003]]. Thanks to interest generated by [http://happypenguin.org/ happypenguin.org]'s Game of the Month award in [[March]] [[2004]], SuperTux reached its first milestone, an entire playable world with gameplay similar to [[Super Mario Bros.]], on May 2nd, 2004.
The newest version of SuperTux is 0.1.3, which was first released on July 9, 2005. It includes one main world (26 levels), and two bonus islands (22 and 28 levels, respectively), which includes both official and fan-made levels. Currently, the [[source code]], and [[Linux]], [[Windows]], and [[Mac OS X]] binary packages are available for this release right now. Binaries for other [[operating system|operating systems]] should follow up soon.
Beginning [[2005]], SuperTux moved from [[SourceForge]] to [[BerliOS]] because some of the team members preferred [[Subversion (software)|Subversion]] over [[Concurrent Versions System|CVS]].
SuperTux 0.2 (AKA Milestone 2) is under development. Some of its new features include:
* Rewritten collision system
* Forest [[tileset]]
* 800x600 resolution
* Translation and UTF-8 support
SuperTux runs on [[Linux]], [[Microsoft Windows|Windows]], and [[Mac OS X]]. Ports to other platforms ([[FreeBSD]], [[BeOS]], etc.) are also available.
