'''Rîbniţa''' (Russian: ''Rybnitsa'') is the seat of the [[Administrative Region of Ribnita|Administrative Region of Rîbniţa]] of [[Transnistria]], a country, that has declared itself independent from [[Moldova]]. Its geographical ___location is {{coor dm|47|46|N|29|0|E|}}. Ribnita had a population of 60,800 in [[1989]], out of which 45% were Ukrainians, 25% Romanians, 24% Russians, and 6% others. A major steel factory exists in the city which provides 50% of the income of the entire unrecognized Transnistrian republic.

He was born at [[Boom]] near [[Antwerp]]. Most of his life was spent in the archiepiscopal college of [[Mechelen]], where he was for twelve years reader in theology and for forty president. His great work was the ''Theologia moralis et dogmatica'', a compendium in catechetical form of Roman Catholic doctrine and ethics which has been much used as a students textbook.
